An immigrant neighborhood fights back when a Capone minion attempts to terrorize the populace.
This is one of my favorite installments of "The Untouchables" - it's full of atmosphere and is extremely well-directed and shot cinematically. Lots of creepy touches add to the menace of the "Death Tree" and the roaming chestnut vendor is an excellent addition. Bronson is quite intimidating and Barbara Luna puts in a better-than-expected turn as a new leader of the gypsies, something I was initially a little skeptical of.
The formula works well here, lots of threats and impending doom with solid action sequences sprinkled in all the way the end of the episode. Whereas it could be a saccharine "neighborhood fights back" story, the dynamic between Ness and the residents and the constant feeling of unease supplied by the script adds a lot to action.
A recommended pick for me.
