The Economist
AIRED:

It's 1932 and with 12 million people out of work, there's not much money to spend on booze which is causing the syndicate to come up with creative ways to make more money, like creating an artificial shortage of liquor to drive the prices even higher.

  • The Doldrums Set In

    5.0
The Season Four doldrums officially set in with this episode involving a search by both Ness and the Mob for stolen liquor. Joe Sirola makes an effective lead villain and Walter Winchell has some good narration but those are about the only high points of this one. The Economist isn't as bad as some Season Four entries but it's definitely in the bottom half.
