Episode Summary

Right after the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, Ness and his men are scouring Chicago, looking for Bugs Moran. If Ness can get to Moran first, maybe he'll talk and he might just be mad enough to give them the information they need.

Eddie O'Gara Story gets my vote as the worst episode of Season Four. The only good thing you can say about it is that it's not quite as bad as Season One's Head of Fire, Feet of Clay. Terrible acting and an awful script make this one almost laughable. At least all of the other Season Four clunkers have at least some good point in their favor such as a good scene or a strong guest performance. This one has none. Flush it down the toilet where it belongs.moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • The real Bugs Moran actually took off for Canada and later France in the immediate aftermath of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. He never regained any of his former gangland glory even though he remained a career criminal in one form or another. Moran died in Leavenworth Penitentiary in 1957 from lung cancer while serving time for a bank robbery committed in Ohio in the late 40's. Edit

    ADD NOTES
    • This marks the second episode in which Joe Aiello gets bumped off. The first was Season One's Jake Lingle Killing. Edit
    • Robert Wilke portrays George "Bugs" Moran for the second and final time in this episode. When the character appears again a few episodes later in Doublecross he's portrayed by Harry Morgan. Edit

    • Eddie (sarcastically): Wouldn't I look fine in one of them monkey uniforms with the brass buttons? Mrs. O'Gara: It would be an improvement, Eddie. Edit
