Evidently, Patricia Neal couldn't sing a lick because Maggie Storm never warbles a note in this episode even though she's supposed to be a well-known nightclub singer. She appears on-stage and she spouts a few one-liners but Neal/Storm never sings.
End Credits: Beverly Powers is listed by her alternate name Beverly Hills.
Hobson: The other one's dead but he's clean.
Ness: This one's alive but he's not so clean.
Ness: Miss Storm and I met a few years back.
Maggie: It was my favorite arrest.
Lucky: I don't like fans with badges.
Maggie: A flame can't select its moths.
Harker: (to Ness) Five years is a long time but I'm sure the boys still know how to deal with stoolies.
Harker: Mr. Ness, you just bought yourself an ex-con.
Maggie: (to Shirer) I've had a long night and you're making it longer.
Harker: Don't worry about me.
Ness: Is there any reason I should?
Shirer: (to Maggie) You seem to be doing all the thinking around here. Me, I just like to gossip.
Maggie: What do you get out of this?
Shirer: Just doing a good deed.
Maggie: (to Shirer) Now that you've delivered your glad tidings, why don't you leave?
Maggie: (to Shirer) Don't you think you've fulfilled your quota of killings?
Shirer: Guns! I never touch the stuff.
Harker: Where's the dough?
Shirer: I got it right here. [pulls out a knife]
Maggie: (about the Untouchables) I guess nobody told them about repeal.
Ness: (to Maggie) I'll close you down for good and you can charm the judge out of a life sentence.
Ness: Come on, Lee, I used to know a lady but she doesn't seem to be in.
Maggie: So you're a thief too?
Shirer: Is that anyway to talk to your new partner?
Shirer: (to Maggie) It's time for you to meet your new boss. (opens the door to reveal Lepke)
Lepke: Good evening, Miss Storm. My name is Buchalter. Lepke Buchalter.
Lepke: (to Maggie) It isn't a question of what you need. It's a question of what I want.
Lepke: Aren't you going to have a drink to our new partnership?
Maggie: That's just about the only thing I won't drink to.
Maggie: (to Ness) Watch my new magic act. Pull up a chair and watch me make this whole bottle disappear.
Maggie: (to Ness) Your price for a clean conscience is pretty high. Besides, gray's not my color.
Maggie: My deal was no killing.
Shirer: You ain't got no deal. All you got is a job.
Shirer: Where are you goin'?
Lepke: On a house call.
Lepke: (to Shirer) Remember, nobody makes two mistakes in one night.
Shirer: For a bright dame, you don't look real good.
Maggie: That's the story of my life.
Maggie: (stabbed in the back, in Ness' arms) Ohh... I must look a fright.
Ness: Right now, Maggie, you look pretty good.
Maggie: (stabbed in the back, thinking she's dying) Shall I think of some famous last words?
Maggie: So here's my deal-- and if you don't like it, you'll just have to go ahead and burn down the club and me along with it.
Lepke (sinisterly): If I don't like it, that'll be just about it.
Ness: Two men killed in the past two days-- is that the way you run this club?
Maggie: You know, Mr. Ness, you had much better manners when you were smashing down doors.
Maggie: Somewhere along the line I've picked up a few years and dropped a few scruples.
Maggie: And remember, Mr. Ness, as they say in Hoboken, 'Honi soit qui mal y pense.' That's, 'Evil to him who thinks evil'.
Ness: 'Plus honi soit qui mal y fait'. More evil to him who does evil.
Maggie: We serve hundreds of people. Once in a while a customer wants to mix a little business with pleasure-- what can America's favorite personality do about it?
Ness: For a beginning, you could stop catering to the gangster trade.
