  • Sequel to Noise of Death

    7.0
Mark of Cain serves as a sequel to Season One's Noise of Death. Here we see the continuing saga of Little Charlie Sebastino. In Noise of Death he was just beginning his rise in the Mafia hierarchy. In Mark of Cain he's arrived as an underworld power in his own right.

Henry Silva reprises his Season One role and his Little Charlie Sebastino is as nasty as they come. Old pros Eduardo Ciannelli and Will Kuluva lend fine support as Little Charlie's underworld bosses, Frank and Joe Genna.

What lowered this episode for me was its flat ending where Little Charlie dies off-screen. Ness gets a phone call that they just found his body and the rest of the squad just shrugs and goes on with their tasks. They could have done this one better like maybe dropping off the body in front of the Federal Building.moreless
