  • Plenty of action but mediocre storyline.

St. Louis Story marks the swan song of Jerry Paris as Martin Flaherty and introduces Anthony George as Agent Cameron Allison who would be the principal sidekick for Eliot Ness during the remainder of Season One. George would have his monment on the show but this episode isn't one of them. Except for a high violence content and the shocking scene concerning the murder of Rita Rocco there is much that's memorable. The main problem with St. Louis Story is that there's too much concentration on violence and not enough on storyline. None of the guest characters are truly memorable although Leo Gordon does a decent job as Whitey Deering, the sinister henchman of lead villain Dink Conway.moreless

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Conway: (about Harrington and Courtney) Punks! Gutter rats! Both of 'em! Next they'll be rolling drunks in alleys...olding up candy stores! Why don't they wear those striped turtle neck sweaters so everyone will know they're punks?

    • Courtney: I like cold cash.
Conway: That's old fashioned thinking, Joe.
Courtney: I like old fashioned cold cash.

    • Ness: They must have the securities in cold storage.
Allison: That's where I'd like to put my feet...cold storage.

    • Conway: (to Lt. O'Farrell) It took one phone call to make you a lieutenant. All it'll take is one more call to bust you down to a lousy flatfoot.
