Well one hole i noticed is Rebeka getting into the salvadors house. Didn't they trust it to Elena and only people she allows to come in can come in. How did she get in without her saying so.

No, they didn't sign it over again. That is not a plot hole. However, Elijah and Stefan getting into Ric's apartment was.

The fact that they did not SIGN over the again RIGHT After Steff supposedly gone bad and KAT MARCHED INTO THE BOARDING HOUSE is a logical inconsistency(same with soapdish moonstone) which is a kind of plot hole

    Damon had to be invited.

And no, Elena more than likely didn't want to resign the papers while Stefan was gone. She was under the impression that he was 'taken' by Klaus or she was worried he was dead. She was hoping that he would come home, why would she resign the papers that would lock him out of his house? She didn't know he was "evil"

    Werepires

    werewolves

    wiches

    Invitation rights

    Siring

    Silver

    The werewolf bite

    The Originals

    The stupid day -walking rings

    Age vs strenght among vampires

    The moonstone

and pretty much eveything show introduces it's retconed sooner rather than later. As a result, the show itself doesn't make sense more often than not.

Unfortunately not. Obviously an episode in Season 1. I remember they told everyone Zach is their uncle and than revealed to Elena I think that in fact they were HIS uncles.

It was all over season 1 before Vickie was turned (and she was a plot hole in itself).

That "nephew" plot hole STILL pisses me off.

He was never called their nephew. Zach did call Stefan "uncle Stefan" once, but there are several people that refer to someone as 'aunt' or 'uncle' when they really aren't. He's probably a descendant of Stefan and Damon's uncle or something, but since they are so much older, he refers to them as his uncles.

I gotta rewatch season one on this one. I seem to distinctly remember Stefan explaining to Elena or Damon stating that Zach was their nephew. When I find out which episode and what was said, I will post.

I don't understand how people can keep mistaking Katherine for Elena. It makes sense with the human characters, but shouldn't vampires be able to tell that someone is a vampire and not human? It's happened countless times with both Salvatores, but a recent example in "Homecoming" when Klaus was standing right in front of Katherine thinking she was Elena. With all their supernatural abilities, I would think a vampire would be able to spot a fellow vampire. That's something that's always bugged me that they've never directly addressed, but I guess it's just over looked so we can have our doppelganger hijinks and all.

I think it was in "Unpleasantville," Stefan or Damon told Elena vampires cannot sense other vampires.
