I am re-watching seasons 1-3 and I am stuck on something. I thought, the deed to the Salvatore brothers's house was under Elena's name. So, how come Rebekha and Klaus were able to enter the house without being invited in? Did the deed become null when Klaus performed the Hybrid ceremony that sort of killed Elena at the end of season 2?

Yes, it became null because she technically died that night, John sacrificing himself brought her back to life. If she had re-signed the deed, they would've been kept out, but she didn't.
