  • :O oh lee chit! haha UNREAL!!!! (SPOILER ALERT)

    10
As one of the people about 2 or 3 reviews previous to mine, this was one of the most shocking finales ever! The twists, the tragedies, the breathtaking moments.. This is what storytelling is all about!

This was up there with Lost to be honest, last week's episode of Lost was one of those "never saw THAT one coming!" episodes..and this is too. As hard as it is to compare any show with Lost, you can't deny this epic episode.

A few comments (for those who haven't yet watched it: READERS BEWARE):

I hate Bonnie. She is annoyingly self-absorbed which, of course, inherently makers her selfISH. She's a brat...and like I said somewhere before, she has a crooked face haha. ¬¬ Anyways, I despise her for what happened to Anna and what almost happened to Damon. Her witless remarks and her sny bratty attitude toward Stefan makes me cringe. That is all I have to say about her.

Unbelievable what happened with Damon and Elena/Katherine. Jaw hit the floor so hard it startled me. WOW.

    Can't wait till season two!!moreless
  • Season 1, Episode 22 First Season Finale

    10
Wow. what a great way to end an awesome first season! This season ended with a bang and on a high note!

We had a lot things happening in this episode. John Gilbert's device is set into full effect at the Founder's Day event and what it does is create a painful noise that only vampires can hear, so when it goes off, all the people will see the vampires in pain and inject them with vervein and then kill them. Stefan gets away, but among the vampires taken to a house is Damon, Anna. Anna is killed and Damon makes it out with the help of Damon while Bonnie does a spell to lower the fire to let Stefan save Damon. Mayor Lockwood is also in the house and is killed. Before that the Mayor tells Tyler to leave and takes Caroline and Matt with him, while driving, Tyler hears the noise and they get in an accident, where Tyler is being looked at his pupils are acting funny (werewolf?!) Caroline is then taken to the hospital. Jeremy decides to drink Anna's blood and then overdoses on Elena's medicine. In the end Elena and Damon kiss! she then walks into the house and chops off John Giblert's fingers! because she is..... KATHERINE!!! I saw it coming the moment her and Damon kissed! Elena then comes home talking to Stefan on the phone, hangs up, walks in..... dun dun dun....... (screen goes black) "The Vampire Diaries"

A wonderful season finale and an amazing ending to a extraordinary first season !!

    A More Than Perfect 12/10moreless
  • OMG i have just finished my catch up of The Vampire Diaries this series is by far one of the best new shows on tv

    10
I am so excited can't wait for season two this final episode was the best yet and if I had to have one complaint it would be that Anna was killed as I would have liked to of seen where her relationship with Jeremy could have gone, interesting point to leave his story on him drinking Anna's blood and taking an overdose who will he feed on in order to complete the transition? Katherine turning up at the end was excellent and im hoping she doesnt kill Johnathan much better to turn him into what he hates the most. Then there was the kiss between Damon and katherine. I am also looking forward to the possibility of warewolfs being introduced to the mix.moreless
  • Predictions for the next seasons...

    8.0
They've been playing the Katherine arc for quite a long time, so I already figured that somewhere along the way, she will make an appearance in Mystic Falls. I also already predicted beforehand that Damon will fall for Elena and will try to be good. AND I WAS RIGHT. Now here's what I think will happen next season:

Of course, they will all eventually find out that Katherine is back and pretending to be Elena, and Damon will be torn between his love for the two women. He probably will go back to being bad, thinking it is Katherine he really loves, but then he'll realize in the end that he has learned to love Elena more than Catherine, and he'll betray Katherine (maybe even kill her) to save Elena. I even think the writers will come up with a scene where Damon will deceive Catherine into thinking that he still loves her when in fact, he's only out to kill her.

The real Elena of course will be forever faithful to Stefan. He and Elena may have a fight or a break up, but eventually, even with a hot vampire like Damon, I think Stefan and Elena will stand strong together.

In the longer run (maybe in season 3; I'm assuming the show will last that long), the writers will probably give Damon a new love interest so that he gets to stay in the show even without the love triangle arc (I mean if he realizes Elena will only love Stefan, then why would he stay in Mystic Falls, right? Unless someone else holds his interest). Either that or make Damon leave the show, and what is Vampire Diaries without Damon?????? I doubt the producers will take that route; many fans will be disappointed, including me.

But I do have a second runner-up prediction: Damon might not kill Katherine but just driver her away. He'll probably threaten her not to show her face in Mystic Falls ever again, or he'll kill her. But my first prediction is much more dramatic, so I'm hoping the writers would go for that.

Of course, this is only speculation on my part...

There's always the possibility that Stefan will go bad...Nah!

We'll just have to wait and see what happens next season. Can't wait!moreless
  • holy Freakin' goodness

This was possibly the most amazingly well-written, surprising, shocking, devastating, awesome episode of television I have ever seen. The writer of The Vampire Diaries sure can write a season finale.

First, I'll start off by discussing the deaths. Now is the time to stop reading if you haven't watched and want to be surprised.

    Deaths

    1. Anna - killed by John

    2. Mayor Lockwood - killed by tomb vampire

    3. Jeremy - killed by himself.

    4. John - killed by Katherine

Winner of the most shocking death: John Gilbert. This award would have gone to Anna, but John's death took the cake for one of the most shocking pieces of television I've ever seen. When the kitchen scene began and I saw "Elena" putting away the knives, I knew for a fact that John would get stabbed and die. But at that time, I thought it was going to be Elena who would do the killing. After all, she had the motive. But the moment when John realized it was, in fact, Katherine, so did I, and my jaw dropped and I began (literally) jumping up and down and screaming in a joyous manner. You got to love (bad grammar, I know) when television makes such a surprising turn in its story. What a great way to end the season. I am still in awe. El second season is going to kick some major butt.

Okay. Now I have to discuss Anna's death. I am not happy about it at all, yet I realize it had to happen for the progression of Jeremy's character... sort of. I wish she didn't die, and I wished she and Jeremy would be vampires together, but I guess that's not the way the story is going. And who am I to say that's wrong? I am extremely interested to see what happens with the Jeremy storyline now.

Time for Jeremy. When he wakes up, he'll be a vampire! OH, boyz! The scene where he swallowed Anna's blood and began to swallow the pills was very disturbing, and, for me, harrd to watch. I covered my eyes a little, so I was half-watching. Things like that make me all squrim-y. I can't wait to see what's going to happen. Will he regret becoming a vampire? I don't think so. I think he'll be much happier, and not as lost. He'll meet some hot vampire chick and they'll be all be happy together. You know what. I'm going to make a prediction. Jeremy will become a father in the series. I went there.

Mayor Lockwood's death. Don't really care. Kind of wish they would have kept him kickin'... but now at least we know for sure that he's a werewolf and so is Tyler. I've long predicted it, ever since... I think it was Turning Point... when they showed him and the full moon in the background. And Tyler's "eye" thing in this episode. It's for sure. Oh yeah. Season 2 is going to have some werewolves. Oh boy..

Great episode! Perfect way to end the series. Let's see what happens next.

    • Damon: You have no sense of humor, Stefan.
Stefan: Actually, I just have no sense of Damon humor.

Damon: Damon humor? Hey, look I get it, I get it. I'm the better, hotter, superior choice, and you're scared now that Katherine's out of the picture that I'm going to turn all my attention to Elena, but don't worry. Elena is not Katherine.
Stefan: You're right. She's not. (Damon and Stefan then both turn and see Elena in 1800's attire)

    • Bonnie: We both want to protect the people we care about. The difference is for you, Damon is one of them. You saw what I was able to do tonight. I know who I am now. And if Damon spills so much as one drop of innocent blood, I'll take him down. Even if I have to take you with him.
Stefan: Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
      Bonnie: Let's hope it doesn't.

    • John: You take one more step and I'll alert those deputies that they missed a vampire.
Elena: I'm asking you not to.
John: That doesn't mean anything to me.
Elena: As my father it should.
      John: You know?
Elena: I wasn't sure. But now I am.

    • John: Katherine?!
Katherine: (face turns, revealing she's a vampire) Hello John. Bye John. (stabs him)

    • Damon: You have no sense of humor, Stefan.
Stefan: Actually, I just have no sense of Damon humor.
      (Stefan walks away)
Damon: Damon humor? (Damon follows Stefan) Hey! Look, I get it, I get it. I'm the better, hotter, superior choice, and you're scared now that Katherine is out of the picture, that I will turn all my attention to Elena. But don't worry. Elena is not Katherine.

    • Stefan: What are you doing here?
Damon: Why wouldn't I be here? Bonnie deactivated the Gilbert invention, Isobel's gone...and it's Founder's Day. I'm here to eat cotton candy and steal your girl.
