Once again the writers have shown their skill in keepin the audience glued to their seats with constantly introducing new twists and tales to an already fantastic series.
The depth of the characters and the ability for the show to make you love/hate each character is as the series progresses is a joy to watch. Every episode leaves you watching the next. !!

Episode Summary
EDITElena and Bonnie help Alaric in his effort to decipher the meaning behind his recent discovery. Elena and Rebekah find themselves in a mean-girl power struggle until Rebekah finally reveals some of her family's ancient secrets and her violent past with Klaus and Elijah. Still trying to make a breakthrough with Stefan, Damon tries a reckless new approach, and they're both surprised by an unlikely ally.

Stefan: I didn't have a breakthrough, Damon. -
Mikael: (while gripping Damon's heart) What's the trick question, Stefan? One twist and he's dead. Unless you don't care, of course.
Damon: Well, his emotions have been shut off. He can't care.
Mikael: Really? His link to Klaus is so strong that he will let his own brother die? No ideas hmm? Think, Stefan! I guess you're right. He's a dead end. -
Elena: (showing Rebekah the cave drawings) The hybrid killed the original witch. Not Mikael, Klaus.
Rebekah: No. No, he wouldn't.
Elena: She put the curse on him. Made it so that he would be the only one of his kind, and then she rejected him. With the werewolf gene comes aggression and violence. When he turned, all of that was heightened. He killed her Rebekah, and then he made up this entire lie about your father so that he wouldn't lose you.
