  • Clanky, convenient, inconsistent writing appearing again, I guess the writers of the 4th season are still here...

    4.5
    *CONTAINS SPOILERS!*

Unfortunately, after a good premiere, the second episode of the new season is showing again that TVD is now full with awful writers. Who is writing those scenes, really?

    1) Who thought that Jeremy and Matt are dumb enough to let Kathrine go to the bathroom without one of them being outside?

2)Who thought that Silas staking himself so slowly would actually do something to him and then it even penetrated from one side to the other Jeremy's body like a knife is penetrating butter?!

    3) Who thought that Jeremy would be OK with a hole on his chest that magically closed?! Do Hunters heal like vampires? No. Was Damon's blood from the premiere episode? It's the only explanation. But it would help to pinpoint it.

    4) Who thought that Elena wouldn't be able to light one (or like ten) matches?

    5) Since when Damon became so stupid that he didn't just dive to find his brother but asked the Police to find him for him and 2 hours later he became so smart that he figured out how Silas' mind control is operating inside Elena's head?!!!

    6) Why free Stefan and expose Silas so soon? The season would have real suspense if Silas was roaming like Stefan, so many cliffhangers and plot twists would be possible to happen!

The only good moments of the show were Bonnie and Matt meeting each other on The Other Side and the ending where we don't really know what happened with Stefan.

So, my conclusion is that the show really needs writing enhancement, it's a shame to ruin a good show and an intriguing story line (Silas) with those awful writers!moreless
  • I hope the show gets back on track soon.

    7.5
I'm a huge TVD fan, but even I can't get over the fact that Stefan keeps drowning over and over again - Where's all the air in his lungs coming from? He would have breathed out his last bubble weeks ago, and that's assuming vampires actually need to breathe. I hope the show gets back on track soon.
  • MEH and WHY

    3.0
Glad there is nothing MUCH in here about ships, so I will keep it that way except just to say stop with the triangle already. It needs a break but it's reared it' ugly head back in the game in episode 2? That and the RIPPER AGAIN been done.

MY BIG BEEF: What the hell was the point of having Stefan thrown into a big coffin of water just to have him be released an episode later.

What was the point of having Silas who looks like Stefan NOT ACT LIKE STEFAN OR TRY TO TAKE HIS PLACE. Damon didn't even know it wasn't him? Jeremy had to tell him. I would have wanted to see him mess with a few people before he told everyone who he was. Such a waste. WHY? It must be to set the whole ripper thing up again ( He's back so soon already) and the stop now JP. Bonnie dead as a ghost? useless. It won't stay that way and it's boring. Why set that up only to go back on it. Obviously they needed to make stuff up for the finales and shock effects that they intend to go back on in the next season which is utterly ridiculous.

The show is becoming Meh to me. It went downhill in season 4 when they didn't get rid of the originals sooner and introduce new bad guys sooner because the fans liked them.

To finish off here is A few things I want or wanted.

Damon human, I don't care if it was predictable it would have been a better storyline then the one now. Damon would be the center of the story and it would have been good entertainment.

Stefan to develop as a character, new relationship, preferably with Caroline but anyone else would do. When lexi gave him advice he should have been left to listen to it.

A slower start to season 5, its too much we didn't have time to get settled into many things happening at once.

More Jeremy bonding with Damon (just cause I like).

Damon growing more and more not returning to his horrible old self. He is amazing now!!!

Damon's mother and back story. The writers not forgetting the character development and the back story and changing it all again more backflashes. That's it!moreless
  • Vamp Diaries / Buffy / Angel.

    5.0
From bad to worse, Elena and Caroline taking Biology in their freshman year and their teacher is Dr Wesley Maxfield and then they get booted out of the classroom before it even starts, I was waiting for Riley to come in. So what secret society does Maxfield belong to The Initiative and when do they start micro chipping Vampires and other Demons (who is going to play Giles). So Nadia is a Gypsy / Romanian / Traveler and when does she put a curse on Angel's I mean Silas' soul. The only good thing about this episode was Bonnie and Matt sharing that moment together. Julie Plec Pick Up Your Game and Stop Ripping Off Buffy and Angel.moreless
  • Oh What A Tanlged Web Lies Weave

    7.5
Okay I am still a diehard Vampire Diaries fan but I gotta admit that this episode was a bit of a let down.

I really liked it but I didn't love it.

Here's what I liked: Damon's idea to use Elena's love for Stefan to snap her back to reality.

I really liked Bonnie and Matt's interactions. I loved Stefan escaping from his watery grave, I thoroughly enjoyed Katherine's 'bonding' with Jeremy and Matt, Katherine's whip-smart humor was front and center another highlight 4 me!

Here's What I didn't like: I hated that Elena was giving up on her fun freshman year so quickly but I kinda understood it. I also didn't like that we still don't know what the heck this Nadia chick is or how Megan was connected to Elena's dad.

While this episode defiantly had some bumps for me I still really enjoyed I just hope these loose ends get tied up soon!moreless
