The Vault

Show Summary

The Vault was a British game show based on an Israeli format. Each week viewers would be encouraged to phone in the week before broadcast and those lucky to be picked would feature on the show. After trying to correctly guess the code to the vault, the contestants would be split into two groups, the contestants and the brokers. The brokers could then 'sell' their knowledge of answers to questions to the contestants throughout the three rounds of the game for part of the prize money. If no one in the studio won the £100,000 a viewer at home had the chance. The jackpot rolled over to the following week if no one won the top prize. After two successful series broadcast on Saturday evenings, the series was moved to Tuesday's for what would become its final series. With falling ratings for the extended third series, plans for a fourth were scrapped.
