Good episode, but the scenes with Brock listening to the phonograph (or whatever it's called) made me wish I had closed captioning on. I like how it introduces a backstory from over a century ago.

Wasn't that a reference to Christine?

I still want to know how Billy convinced Rusty to wear his old costume. Then Rusty doing the "Go Team Venture!" -priceless.

Wow, that was a painfully good episode. I feel like I missed half of it though, there was so much going on. I'll probably have to watch it a few more times to get everything.

yeah, i just saw the episode on adultswim.com. It was real good, perhaps even too good. Sorta feels like this could be the last season with how everything is starting to play out. I hope not though.

Nice setup for the season finale. And we finally know what happend to Jonas Venture Sr. (or do we? I guess they could still work another plot twist in there). Wasn't anywhere near as hilarious as last week, but they had a lot to get across, so I'll let it slide.

Wow, I think that's the lowest ratio of comedy to action-adventure ever...and I loved it! I expected the orb to be some sort of joke given the way they screwed with our expectations of it, but then they end the episode straight...and Rusty finally does something sensible. Tops!

    No one noticed two things...

    1) the "guild" was orignally founded to help or protect people.

    2) A Venture was a founder member of the guild, possibly Doctor Venture Sr. father or grandfather.

I read some speculation that Doctor Venture Sr. isnt really dead, but is actually joined the councel of 13. not clear one what his motive would be to join. Maybe he wanted to keep the guild from getting the orb or reform the guild or Maybe he was disfigured somehow.

It is pretty simple I think, David Bowie will be revealed to actually be Tesla, in a reference to "The Prestige".

The thing is, they're probably still doing that by limiting, regulating, and thereby neutering supervillians. They're the poison pill!

Geeze, so much plot going on. Anyone else getting the vibe that they're setting up to end the series entirely rather than just the season?

Well, I think they've already started working on Season 4. Maybe they are just getting ready to finally wrap up all or most of the mysteries that have been hanging over the series this whole time. And then next season, they can move on to something new?

Judging from the preview of next week's episode it looks like OSI has ordered Brock's termination for not killing Rusty. So every Venture body guard's real mission was to protect the orb and kill them if they ever tried to activate it.

Does anyone think that Phantom Limb is going for the orb now to destroy the Guild? That was his ancestor who wanted to use orb.

Phantom Limb's return is imminent. He has been missing all season, and in "Orb" his ancestor was shown to be in the Guild (they wouldn't have put him in there unless they were planning on his return). I think it was Limb driving the car trying to kill Brock. This whole season has had an 'epic' feel to it, and these last 3 episodes of the season REALLY emphasize that.

I liked that there was someone in the early Guild who resembled one of the main adult characters in the present. Monarch, Rusty, Brock, Dr. Girlfriend, Phantom Limb, Orphius, and probably a few others I might have missed.

i'm going to not-watch this coming episode at release just so i can see the final 2 back to back.

Brock: wait, if you got the cylinder, what does Doc have?

Kano: knowing Rusty... a roll of toilet paper?

    Really nice episode...

I always wondered why Kano can't talk..now we know.

Still didn't answer the question if Dr venture sr is still alive or dead, or if Kano killed him....but it seems implied.

Rusty actually did the right thing.

I always wondered why OSI wanted to protect Rusty considering that he is a failure.

Don't you think that's a little out of left field?

Especially since we knew the car was on "auto-pilot" from earlier in the episode.
