  • Allusions

    • Brock: Put your seatbelt on. You want to end up like Gary Busey?
      Referencing the famous incident on December 4, 1988, where Busey was injured in a motorcycle accident where he wasn't wearing a helmet. He supposedly suffered brain damage from a skull fracture and has displayed erratic behavior since.

    • Henchman 21: We could have died. Like in Westworld.
      Referencing the 1973 s.f. movie written and directed by author Michael Crichton. it features a futuristic amusement park where androids serve as playthings for the rich visitors' sexual and aggressive tendencies, until the system malfunctions and the androids strike back.

    • Hank: Seriously, Brock, the Lassie trick? Was I born yesterday?
      Referencing the famous collie of books, radio shows, movies, and TV shows, created by Eric Knight in 1938. Hank's line refers to the fact that Lassie's owner would often try to get the dog to leave its owner by saying they no longer needed the collie.

    • Brock: Call and tell him we have a Damien Hirst in Room 202.
      Referencing the British artist who specialized in works featuring death. His most famous work is The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living, featuring a shark's corpse immersed in a tank of formaldehyde.
