The View

i like this show because it shows all the sides of the subject they are talking about at the time they have the old lady, the middle age, another middle age and then the young one so i think they do a good job and i also think they need to bring star back she was the best one!

Barbara Walters, the ultimate professional. Star Jones the professional lawyer. Between the two a conversation never occurred over Star Jones\\\'s opinions. She is entitled to voice her opinion but apparently everything can\\\'t be said on television. What she did ot lose weight is her personal business. We should celebrate that as an accomplishment not point fingers and make accusations. Rosie should mind her business. Are we trading Star\\\'s above reproach attitude for another? Only this time it is accompanied by a lifestyle and overbearing personality. In my opinion that is her personal business and no one pointed the finger at her before she went public. Celebraties have the right to privacy, I wish they would keep more to themselves.

I smell a publicity stunt to revive a dying show. As if changing out the cast was not enough, Star\'s departure has done more to promote the show than she did for the many years she was on it. What\'s up with that? I must say I will miss the bickering between her and Joy, and the updates of her weightloss and \"Beautification\" - NOT! Like America cares. I hope her new replacement will give the show as much publicity as they have bought with Star\'s departure and give us all a rest to focus on the real problems in the world today, like the melting polar ice caps.

I think with out Star and Meridth...the show will be nothing. Star was very informative about legal issues, since she was a very respected lawyer, she was also a legal correspondant, and the first female lawyer to win all her cases consecutively. I loved the show, I think Barbara Walters is making a huge mistake hiring Rosie. I


mean come on, she got fired from her show, because she turned out to be a witch, and think she will hurt the ratings drastically.


I think Joy and Elizabeth are also holding on by a thin thread, look at their faces during the show, you can tell it won\'t be a pretty view for much longer

I do LOVE Rosie, please don\'t get me wrong...but this just isn\'t the right fit for the View. I wish they would have spent more time casting this. A lot of thought needs to go into their next choice. Let\'s face it, it will never be as good without Merdith. She was what made the View special. I do admit that I am happy about Star\'s exit. I never really was a fan. Her exit just goes to show her true colors. Her replacement does need to be calm and a great balance to the energy that Joy and Rosie have.

It\\\'s been all over the news now about the firing of Ms. \\\"Holier than Thou\\\" Jones Reynold-you know the formerly fat girl who had surgery, lied about it, and married a big queen named Al?!! The **** doesn\\\'t have a brain in her head to think she can screw around with Baba Wawa and not get the boot! I say \\\"good riddens to bad rubbish\\\"-actually my Mother used to say that..LOL. I think the religious whackos on those \\\"Christian\\\" (joke..) channels we have too many of would probably make a lot of money off her unbelievably hateful and bigoted statements-\\\"homosexuality is an aberration and can be CURED with the love of a good Christian woman.\\\" Star is seriously delusional!! She should have been fired a long time ago for some of the things that have came out of her mouth. I think Rosie is AWESOME and I\\\'m looking forward to her giving them all **** slaps on \\\"The View\\\" especially Elisabeth. The black actress from \\\"one life to live\\\" who co-hosted yesterday was really lively, sweet and smart-such a refreshing change from the self-absorbed, homophobic, bypass Queen named Star Jones. We\\\'ll see what comes next-through it all Joy Behar gives comic relief and ROCKS!!!!

I am so disappointed in The View, which I have faithfully watched for many years. But now that Merideth has left and now Starr, for whatever reason AND now The View has completely sunk to a real low by bringing Rosie O\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Donnell onto the show. She is the most unprofessional, dowdy, loud mouthed person The View could add to the show. I for one will not watch the show anymore and I believe the ratings will fall so low that the show will be or should be dropped.

Star needs to come down a few notches. How she shed all that weight she carried around for years or probably most of her life makes me wonder??? You don\'t just loose all of that fat in such a short time and keep it off. Thank goodness, viewers won\'t have to watch her flaunt her jewlery, wigs, and the gawdy clothes wears! I mean really, who does she think she is, or was? Yeah for Barbara if she did in fact fire her...The show will be much better off with her gone. Star Who?????

Loved Lisa Ling-why did she leave?! She was smart and liberal that\'s why! Why would Barbara hire a conservative no talent like Elizabeth Hesselbeck and keep the horrid Star Jones. Meredith and Joy are cool (I love Joy-she is so funny sometimes)--I hope Rosie give it good to Jones if \"the Star\" stays which I hope to god she doesn\'t!!


The suddenly religious Jones needs to speak on a Christian network-she disgusts me and belongs in Jamaica with the other homophobes. We know she had stomach stapling and is a vile human being and not a real Christian.

I started watching the View in its 1st and 2nd season and was quickly turned off by Star and Joy. I find them to be extremely unprofessional and pretentious. Star Jones should try loosing weight on her own and not by surgery. She\\\\\\\'s such an embarrasement to women! Joy talks too much and they all talk over each other, as if they are so important. What a complete waste of an hour. The show should be canned but I guess when BW is the boss ---the show must go on! Pathetic!

Dear The View, I love Barbara, Joy, \"The Young One\" and of course Meredith. I\'m sorry but I think you need to get rid of Star, she is so anoying on the show and lies so much. Just admit you had by-pass surgery, I did. My sister swont watch it anymore because of Star. Everything that comes out of her mouth makes me sick. The loves Joy she\'s so funny, and Barbara is so smart and very beautiful, and of course Elizabeth, her view points are nice because she is so young. I am 48 years old and my sister is 52 and unless you get rid of Star we wont be watching the show. But like I said I love Rosie and she is a great choice.

I love ALL the View episodes, so I\'m kind of biased, yes? My only suggestion revolves around your new hire to replace Meredith....as a size 18 woman myself, after having many C-Sections, I have to say that it would be refreshing to see a large sized woman on the panel. Believe me, out here in TV land there are PLENTY of intelligent, everyday women who, while supporting Ms. Jones weight loss and cheering her on, would like to be represented, would like to COUNT. We get overlooked in this country exactly like the aged is overlooked. Please, not another beauty, there are tons of really beautiful women who eat. I happen to LIKE my curves and don\'t think that being over a size 2 is anything to be ashamed of. Respectfully, Magie

When The View first aired it was a good show. The women were up-to-date on the current events and they had entertaining guests on the show. Now, what do you get? You get THEIR personal opinions on what is going on in the celebrity world. They do not even bother to tackle current events anymore. The other day they spent 15 minutes bashing an American Idol contestant because she did not sing well the night before. This is a 19 yr old little girl from North Carolina that has never been out of her own state before! Petty and nasty bashing from these women is unbecoming and boring. I will not watch again. I am sure I can find something better to do; like clean my toilet.

This show drives me nuts. I found myself stuck watching it, while sitting in the waiting room of the dentist office. Just another way to piss a patient off, before they stick foreign objects into your mouth and then charge you an arm and a leg to make your teeth shine. Why do we need a show with half a dozen women sitting on a couch giving us their points of view. Opera is just one woman and she manages to get her point accross without the help of others. Can some one please just stop funding the show and find something else to drain our brain cells with?

In the beginning, I was mildly interested. But now, it seems as though it\'s all about Star Jones. She is so overrated. I like the concept that they incorporated some of the personal issues of the hosts, but do we have to incorporate EVERYTHING about HER. First it was her weight and the surgery, then once she was satisfied with that, she found a fiance/husband, then it was about her wedding, now it\'s about her breast surgery. ENOUGH ALREADY!!! The best thing about the show now is the OBVIOUS feud between her and Joy. If I had to choose between the two of them, it would definitely be \"ADIOS AMIGOS to Star.

The thing that\'s so great about The View is it gives so many different points of view. What\'s amazing to me is people here who have written negative reviews stating how \"stupid\" the women are on the show can\'t write, spell and use bad grammar. Maybe the show is just a little too intellectual for most of them. Turn on Montel! If you don\'t like The View, get up off the couch (or take your remote) and change the station. Don\'t sit there watching over and over just to come here to complain. You have serious issues with your self esteem if all you can do is slam people and not one reason given is valid or makes sense.





What if Star had weight loss surgery? She never said she didn\'t. Why is that your business? Elisabeth (not Lizabeth! Gah) is young and presents a point of \"View\" that may not be yours but that\'s the point of the show. That they All Have Different Points Of View! If you don\'t like it, stop complaining, turn the channel or better yet, turn the TV off and take a walk. You could all use the exercise.

I was appalled at the way Walters questioned (persecuted) humble,respectful, Joel (not Joe she referred to him as),on hs religious beliefs when he was there to talk about his best selling book, "Your Best Life Now", which may have helped some needing person! He was NOT there to debate whether or not people either do or do not go to hell, which was ALL she focused on, but rather how to live thier lives to please God. Ironically, Walters had a special titled,"Where is Heaven?" Maybe she would have received the answer if she had listened respectfully as he did.

I looked forward to wacth the View for years not no more. That was the first, show I would turn on in the moring........when I stay home with my babies. Now I stay home for my grand babies and have to wacth Montel I think the other girls are grea!!!!!

before Star Jones lost her weight, she was bubbly and it always seemed like she had a smile.


You need to update her photo on this website and could do some coaching.....why does she sit there day after day with a sour grape look??? If she can't smile like the rest of the host, maybe she ought to be replaced. I find her personality very negative when she is in this mode....which seems to be most of the time...Star Jones, my recommendation - fake it! You look great, but your face without the old smile destroys the new image

Joy and Barbara\\\'s wit and humor make the show. They don\\\'t get wrapped up in being politically correct and babbling on and on about nonsence. Lizabeth will run on and on about any subject no matter how stupid it is. Joy on the other hand has the sense to see it fot what it is and laugh about it.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, in her immature quest to keep up with her often \"too mouthy\" co-hosts, has turned the show into a shouting match, with Elisabeth screaming at the helm, demanding attention. Someone needs to give Elisabeth, and the rest of them, a reality check. This show is supposed to be entertainment? I think. On this day, November 1, 2006, I shut off the show after just five minutes. My nerves just couldn\'t take the shouting and needless competing. Good Lord!!

How wonderful to sit down once a day and listen to interesting chat and discussions with great women.





This show is a 10 in my book. Each woman has a diverse and interesting personality. I feel like I could just sit down and join in the conversation everyday. But how do you enter their contests???

I think they do not give the new girl enough credit on the show!! They act like because she is younger she does not know what she is talking about. This morning they were talking about the morning after pill, and she said her concern would be that people would take it at the wrong time. Well my sister was a college student and took the morning after pill to late, and she had a miscarriage!! Now she is a teacher and has a child of her own, but had to have her child c-section because the lining in her uterus was damaged do to the miscarriage. So maybe they should stop acting like she does not know what she is talking about and listen somtimes!!! You are never to old to learn from younger people.

Im a chick, I like to watch a talk show every now and again, but for women to fly across the country, just to sit in the audience of this travisdy is amazing. Star Jones is a walking contradiction, no one actually believes she dropped a whole backstreet boy off of her without surgeory. She looks like a raisin now, and that husband of her's is obviously gay. But she's persistant about always living the "truth".

The only thing remotely appealing with this hour of crap is Elisabeth H. (but set your TV to "mute" since her words are not important).


This garbage ranks right up there with Larry King, Oprah, and Dr. Phil as some of the worst examples of TV in history.

How hard do you have hit the audience over the head and bribe them in order to come to one of these shows? Whatever the amount is, it's not enough!

It is amazing how terrible a show can be. This talk show is garbage. It is a waste of time. I cannot wait until they cancel the show and put on something else. Quite frankly, anything would be better. All of these morning talk shows are boring and above all, they are pointless.
