    • NOTES (3)

      • This episode marked Randy Boone's last appearance as Randy Benton as the character would not return in Season 5.

      • The earlier, Season 2, episode (#30) entitled "A Man Called Kane" revealed that Randy Benton had an older brother, an outlaw named Johnny (played by Jeremy Slate). Johnny is killed in that episode, and it is implied in the same episode that Randy has no other family. This episode, which presents Andrew Prine as Randy's older brother Brett, seems to contradict that earlier episode.

      • Jennifer does not appear in this episode which mainly features Randy with some support from the Virginian and Emmett Ryker and a token appearance by Trampas. Judge Garth also does not appear having left the series with actor Lee J. Cobb earlier in the season. However, the Virginian refers to the Judge as "being away" in this episode.
