This episode has several problems notably an unclear script which does not spell out very well how Mike O'Rorke ended up in the badlands, and a badly staged fight in which an extremely obvious stunt double is substituting for Michael Rennie as O'Rorke.

The episode features the Virginian with short appearances by Betsy Garth and semi-regulars the Sheriff (Ross Elliott) and Dr. Spaulding (John Bryant). However, in the opening sequences if one looks closely when Mrs. Francis uses opera glasses and observes some cowboys rounding up cattle in the distance, one can see Trampas ever so briefly.
