From the Grand Ballroom in the Waldorf Astoria, the Mary MacArthur Memorial Award dinner for composer Richard Rodgers. Baritone Robert Merrill, soprano Anna Moffo and singer Martha Wright are the guest soloists. Glenn Osser conducts the Firestone Orchestra. Special guest Richard Rodgers. Highlights: Anna Moffo solos with "Sempre Libera" an aria from "La Traviata" by Puccini. Robert Merrill solos with "Some Enchanted Evening". Robert Merrill and Anna Moffo singing "Climb Every Mountain". Selections included are "Jewel Song" from "Faust" by Gounod and "It's a Grand Night for Singing" by Rodgers. Robert Dowling presents the humanitarian award to Richard Rodgers.moreless
