The Walking Dead: Some Problems That I Have with the 2nd Half of Season 4
Arska

I'm not sure do I qualify as a fan of The Walking Dead... For God's sake, the only reason I started to watch the show was quite literally because it had zombies. It served as a 'reset' button for me. I could just turn on the TV and watch without thinking about character development etc. But I found out that there are a lot o...

A Big Bundle Of The Walking Dead Goodies
The Walking Dead returns this Sunday and there has been a significant uptick in the amount of promotional stuff.

One of the best ones I have seen was this prank in New York:

*Den of Geek has an interview with Norman Reedus, where he discusses the evolution of Daryl as well his feeling on the upcoming episodes:

"After four years we’re hitting our A game and we’re just now hitting our stride, so it’s just getting better, I can’t wait for this back eight to show because they’re so good, they’re so, so good, so I’m becoming more of a fan of this show as I’m on it, it’s just getting better and better honestly."

You can read the full interview HERE.

*EW has an article up where Robert Kirkman reveals that the loose threads from the first 8 episodes will ...Read more

The Walking Dead Returns Soon: What's Next?
The Walking Dead is a show that surprised me.

I love zombies as much as the next guy, but I don't go into a zombie television series expecting such strong performances, thought-provoking conversations and complex characters. The Walking Dead took the idea of a post-apocalyptic zombie world and made it feel real and relatable; the type of show that's gripping to watch but you're sort of relieved when it's over because you realize you've been tensing up the entire time.

The revolving showrunners have each had their strengths and weaknesses, but overall, The Walking Dead rose above whatever misconceptions someone may have had about what a zombie show could and should be and became one of the greatest dramas currently on TV. Now, it won't get the accolades and the exceptional actors are overlooked every time award season comes around (Andrew Lincoln's gutwrenching ...Read more

Does Revolution have more direction than The Walking Dead at this point?
I love The Walking Dead, it is one of my favorite shows alongside Doctor Who, Stargate (all 3) and Game of Thrones. That being said I am extremely disappointed in this half of the season. I cannot believe I am saying this but I feel like Revolution has more of a direction than this half of TWD season 4.

With Revolution this season we know what the ultimate goal is for the cast members. Myles and Team Always Get Captured are out to stop the patriots, Neville want's to free his wife, and Aaron is doing whatever is going on with the God/Nanites. There is a clear purpose to these characters and yes, Revolution has its flaws, but the journey these characters are taking in this intriguing universe is enough to keep me tuning in despite those major flaws.

I feel like The Walking Dead has lost it ...Read more

Top 5 Reasons You Should Vote for The Governor as Best Villain of 2013

5) Anything you can do, he can do better.
The hallmark of a great villian is not to enjoy evil - to act insane or to stir up trouble - but to actually outsmart the leading man. And Brian outwit Rick in a way no other character ever could.

What made Brian dangerous wasn't the fact he's a natural leader, but a more decisive one than Rick. It wasn't the fact Brian formed connections, but the fact he wasn't afraid of them. It wasn't the fact he was a father, but how devoted he was to his children.

4) He's not afraid to reinvent himself.
Where it took Carol for Rick to realize he can't be just a farmer anymore, the Governor knew long before Meghan he could be a leader as well as a father, long before Martinez he could be a leader as ...Read more

The Walking Dead: Back to the Beginning?

There is a podcast which I like a lot, "The Walking Dead 'Cast" with Jason and Karen. Nice to listen to, funny, good dialogue, mostly positive critics. From the podcast I kind of stole their theory that the style of the episode "After" could be similar to the pilot. Or better a way back to the root of the show. "After" may have been a homage to the episode that gave The Walking Dead “eternal life”. As funny as that sounds, if we pay attention there are similarities. I watched the pilot again and these are my conclusions:

Few characters ...Read more

Top 5 Changes: Show vs. Comic… Thus Far (Spoiler Free!)
Being an avid read of the comics it has always been interesting to me how Kirkman has strayed from his original story for the series; or as he put it himself, the show is his do-over in some respects. I'm not doing to spoil what is to come in the comics, only what has happened up until the point we're at in the show. So stop reading if you want to read the comics for yourself (which I highly recommend btw!).

This is my TOP 5 changes show vs. the comic (thus far):

5) I the comic Andrea didn't die!!! How unfortunate, right? I have to say IMO the comic portrays Andrea in a much less whiny, annoying, want to smack across the face way. She's not my favorite, by far, but she's far more tolerable. If the Andrea in the show was the Andrea ...Read more

The world we knew is gone. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living. Based on a comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, this AMC project focuses on the world after a zombie apocalypse. The series follows a police officer, Rick Grimes, who wakes up from a coma to find the world ravaged with zombies. Looking for his family, he and a group of survivors attempt to battle against the zombies in order to stay alive.
