6 episodes? That is all for the first season?

I hope the second season is much longer than that!

6 episodes is kind of stupid.

It's not unusual. It was supposed to be a mini series at first but warranted a second season. Networks will do this, throw a bone to see how many come to get it and if the demand is high, throw another one, except bigger. Second season should be 13 episodes.

It was 6 episodes because that way the show could start on Halloween. As you might notice a lot of TV shows have reached their final episode last week and this week (Dexter, Terriers, Boardwalk Empire, The Event?).

More episodes would mean start way before Halloween of start next TV season.

Didn't Twin Peaks first have like 6 episodes as well? The 6 episodes part does not bother me, it's the waiting in between these 6 and the new ones

I think it's also to test things out a bit. See if people will watch it before you sink lots of money into it. Breaking Bad had 7 episodes it's first season then started with 13 in Seasons 2 & 3 (both of which I haven't seen yet).

A lot of shows do that for the first season. Air only 6 episodes. Some air more, others air less.

Or maybe because they think that the viewers can not swallow more than six episode at a time.

I think it actually suits the show: It's a non-stop adrenaline charged ride up until the 6th episode.

And then it starts all over again with the final 7

It's 13 episodes this season, with a long hiatus in between.
