Goof - When Rick is backing up the Truck at the construction site he turns his body backwards in order to see where he's backing up the truck, but the camera immediately cuts to the back of the truck showing that the tail gate is down, meaning Rick was looking at an empty truck body. It could be argued that the truck has the body cut out to access the back of the truck from the cabin, but the tailgate was down so it makes no difference. Also, the truck's body is separate from the cab when looking at it from the outside, but when Rick picks up the survivors at the mall he walks straight into the cab from the body of the truck as if it where a single piece.
Goof: Despite Rick's warning not to get blood on their skin or eyes, a patch of blood can be found on Rick's hand when he removes the gloves.
Merle: (after knocking T-Dog down and holding a gun) We're gonna have ourselves a little pow-wow..huh? Talk about, who's in charge. I vote me. Anybody else?
Rick: (gun butts Merle in the head) Yeah.
Morales: (to Rick after Glenn saved him and shooting off his gun) Look, we came to the city to scavenge supplies. You know what the key to scavaging is? Surviving. You know the key to surviving? Sneaking in and out..tiptoeing and not shooting up the streets like it's the O.K. Corral.
Andrea: (looking at the glass doors with dozens of Walkers trying to get in) You just rang the dinner bell.
Rick: We're going to need more guts.
T-Dog: (into walkie-talkie) Anybody out there? Hello? Anybody read? I'm hoping to hear somebody's voice 'cause I'm sick and tired of hearing mine.
Merle: Yeah, well, that makes two of us. Why don't you knock that crap off? You're giving a headache, boy.
T-Dog: Why don't you pull your head out of your a**? Maybe your headache will go away. Try some positivity for a change. Damn.
Glenn: Nice moves there, Clint Eastwood. You're the new sheriff come riding in to clean up the town?
Rick: Wasn't my intention.
Glenn: Yeah, whatever. Yeehah. You're still a dumb***.
Rick Grimes: Things are different now. There are no nig**** anymore, no dumb a** sh** inbred white trash fools either, only dark meat and white meat.
Rick Grimes: Where are you? Outside? Can you see me right now?
Glenn: Yeah, I can see you. You're surrounded by walkers. That's the bad news.
Rick Grimes: There's good news?
Glenn: No.

At the end of the episode, Glenn is seen speeding down the highway Rick rode into town - most zombie and post apocalypse films feature such long empty stretches of roads which the viewer often imagines themselves speeding down if they had been in such a situation - Glenn is among, if not the first to provide this fan service.
