  • The camp falls.

Yet again The Walking Dead impresses and this episode shows nowhere is safe The last few minutes make this episode as good as it was when the camp is attacked by the Walkers and there was only Shane to really defend it until Rick and the others got back The camp will never recover from this and they also have to worry about merle who is out there and I had a feeling from the beginning he will return.moreless

Equivalent exchange doesn't seem to work in this series. They lost what, two or three people? And gained probably 20 or 30? There are too many survivors already. I don't know who most of them are. I was glad when wife-abuser guy and Amy were taken out; they weren't worthwhile characters and/or were annoying. Decent drama, but no high stakes. The zombies are entirely too easy to take out, and everyone who holds a gun seems to have perfect accuracy. I'm not invested and I'm not impressed yet.moreless

I'm easily pleased. Seeing more survivors makes me happy. And running away from zombies also makes me happy.
  • The dead is full of surprises

    9.0
What this show does so well is the surprises when the dead appears out of no where. I would never expect the dead to show up, the writers keep us surprised when it comes to this and I'm grateful for that. Rick has a little trouble with another group that wants Rick guns, during that scuffle they took Glen and Rick took one of their men. Later on both of them appear to each other what they haven't suspected, and along the way to camp there is a problem brewing that leads to tragedy. This was a good episode overall and it kept me glued to the set as I watched.moreless
  • The last few minutes of this episode made it so great and completely nerve racking, which is exactly how anything that is supposed to scare you should be.

    9.5
Granted it started off a little slow. It was great to see other survivors and made the situation more believable to me. The birthday storyline is heart breaking. This episode was the first to seriously draw me in. I was fairly invested prior to it, but after seeing it I'm all about this show.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Daryl: You got some balls for a Chinaman.
      Glenn: I'm Korean.
      Daryl: Whatever.

    • Daryl Dixon: I guess the saw blade was to dull for the handcuffs. Ain't that a bi***.

    • Daryl: (about Merle) Toughest a****** I ever met, my brother. Feed him a hammer, he'd crap out nails.

    • Shane: Jim, nobody is gonna hurt you, okay?
Jim: That's a lie. That's the biggest lie there is. I told that to my wife and my two boys. I said it 100 times. It didn't matter. They came out of nowhere. There were dozens of them. Just pulled 'em out of my hands. You know, the only reason I got away was 'cause the dead were too busy eating my family.

    • Guillermo: (to Rick) I'm gonna chop up your boy. I'm gonna feed them to my dogs. They're the evilest, nastiest man-eating b*****s you ever saw. I picked them up from Satan at a yard sale.

    • Jim: I remember my dream now, why I dug the holes.
