At this point in the show, you can see that there are more serious situations present in the scripts, which is a good thing. Of course, the Wayans are still hilarious. In this episode, Marlon gets an acting gig as a spokesperson for a company called "JOB" malt liquor, which is aimed at black clientele. At first, everyone loves the ads because they are goofy and in good humor, but one particular one is extremely offensive and Marlon's friends become very bothered by it because they see that he is being exploited. The company owners, typical corporate jerks, think all of the stereotypical stuff is funny and do not hesitate to try to make Marlon do whatever they think will sell. In the end, it's up to Marlon to not only stand up for himself, but do the right thing. A good, serious episode, although it's not the kind you would want to watch repeatedly.
