This episode took a more serious turn compared to most episodes of this show. When Shawn found out he was only hired by a business just so they could meet their minority employment requirements, it sparked a heavy discussion about race and identity. My favorite part of this episode was the "Good Times" parody. Shawn fell asleep and dreamt that he was J.J. from the show. Also, Marlon was Michael, Dee was Florida, and Pops was James. I really liked the fact that Ja'net DuBois, BernNadette Stanis, and Johnny Brown reprised their roles as Grandma, Thelma, and Bookman. That was the highlight of the episode. It was like seeing a mini-"Good Times" reunion. And they all looked great. None of them aged much over the years. But to top things off, Shawn learned from his dream, and ended up quitting his job, while his snobby boss was on the verge of getting fired from his high-paying position. He got what he deserved.moreless
