Welcome to The Wednesday Play guide at TV.com. The Wednesday Play is a series of plays that ran from 1964 to 1970 (a total of 172 plays) and involved a variety of up-and-coming writers (e.g. Dennis Potter, John Mortimer, and David Mercer) and directors (e.g. Ken Loach, Gareth Davies, and Alan Clarke).
