Show Summary

In 1464, the War of the Roses between the Houses of York and Lancaster is in its ninth year.  Although the sly Earl of Warwick has succeeded in having the easily-controlled Edward IV of York crowned, all his work could be undone when the new monarch falls in love with Elizabeth Woodville, a commoner.  This BBC adaptation of Philippa Gregory's series, The Cousin’s War, follows the women caught up in the battle to be the rightful king of England.

This show was commissioned by the BBC and aired in the UK first.  However, an 'uncut' version of the show was later shown by Starz in the US.

Sure the intrigue and back stabbing was hard to follow but I fell in love with Margaret Beaufort (Amanda Hale). She acted great and looks fabulous without being a Hollywood babe. "The Red Queen" would have been mostly about her and I'm sad it won't be done.
  • Started slow, then hang on tight!!

I was not sure by the end of the first episode if this was going to be something to capture my interest. I love history and sometimes the best way to get people excited about history is to show the scandal side around all the glamour of being royal. This is the show that you must watch every single episode and hit pause if you are to leave the room because it does have wonderful plot twists and when you think the bad guy is getting away with treason, he gets it. I am sad its over. I enjoyed watching. great acting, great...moreless

Some of this is not in the true history, but alot is. I'm so happy we can see this history for it bring's alot better under standing how they were & how thing's were done in a kingdom. This show should go on in it history so we can learn more of this time.
