  • Horrible, Horrible, Such a disappointment! Had so much potential but fell well below the bar!

This show had so much potential! the commercials of its premiere running around the clock were built to show how entertaining this program was going to be (like all programs).

It was a total waste of interest sparked, when the show actually premiered less trivia, more "LETS DRIBBLE CRAP" to fill the time slot!

Overall the shows premiere was full of:

    - Sub par "Celebrity" guests

    - Awful Hosts

    - Horrible Jokes (If you could call them that)

    Show Lacked:

    - Any credible written content

    - TRIVIA!

    - Enough stimulus to actually keep you entertained for the duration of the show.

Do yourself a favor and when you think "I might check out that new show I recorded the other night" go smack you head against the wall while holding your remote at your tivo hitting the delete button, on the plus side you will lose less brain cells than actually watching this disaster!

  • Avoid at all costs.

Put simply this, show is simply awful. Trying to get in on the success of shows such as 'Talkin' 'bout your generation' and 'Spicks and Specks', it falls very very short. Like most people on TV.com, I watch and enjoy a lot of television, and thought that the premise would be good, since it is all about TV. But I couldn't be more wrong. The two host system doesn't work, the contestants were painfully unfunny, it was half an hour too long and a game where cross dressing grown men mime and dance wearing fluorescent clothes was the lowest common denominational point of the show. Having to employ a system where you tell the audience what is coming up after the break is painful. It does two things for your show, it ruins the jokes and games in advance, and says that your show is not interesting enough to keep its audience from changes channels during the ads. Normally I give a new show three episodes to prove itself, but sadly this show was so disappointing I am regretting having wasted an hour on one episode. There were two positives I got from the show. Firstly was that they tastefully didn't constantly plug only channel 7 shows. It would have been easy for them to focus only on shows from their own network, but they gave Neighbours as much air time as Home and Away. I commend you for that. The second positive is that next week there will be different contestants who might have a chance of actually being funny. I won't ever find out though, because I won't be watching.moreless
  • BEN ELTON LIVE FROM PLANET EARTH HAS BEEN AXED AFTER JUST THREE EPISODES DUE TO POOR RATINGS.

Is variety dead? Nine kills Ben Elton Live From Planet Earth

The live variety show written, produced and hosted by Ben Elton has been cancelled by the Nine Network despite Elton's claims the show needed time to develop.

  • 2010 WAS A YEAR IN WHICH BAD BOYS CAME BACK TO OUR SCREEN (ESPECIALLY ON SEVEN), THERE WERE TOO MANY POLICE DRAMAS AND NOT ENOUGH COMEDIES, PLENTY OF SPIN-OFFS AND FEW NEW FORMATS, DIGITAL CHANNELS WERE BOOMING, AND 3D BECAME A GIMMICK BUT WHERE WAS OUR HD TELEVISION? COOKING CLONES WERE EVERYWHERE, TEN GOT NEW BOSSES, THAT HEY DAD..! SCANDAL BROKE OUT AND WE BID FAREWELL TO LOST AND THE BILL.

Never mind the ratings, we rate the Aussie networks on what they brought to the table in 2010.
