Sort of a lighthearted departure from the usual theme of the show. Reeves sets out to take the team to a tournament in San Jose and finds out what happens when you take 12 teenage guys out of the inner city, most of which who had never been in an airport or on a plane. There are a few touching moments, like when Reese comforts a crying woman, Thorpe is persuaded to pray with Gomez after the plane encounters mechanical trouble, and Jackson wonders what people will say about him at his funeral.moreless

    • This was the first episode aired when CBS moved the show from Monday to Saturday night. A different opening theme was used for this episode. Edit
    • When the stewardess is instructing the passengers on the crash position, there is a camera shot of Reese and Salami with Jackson and Coolidge still sitting behind them on the right side. However, shortly before that, Jackson and Coolidge were moved to the other side to be near the emergency door. Edit
    • Joan Pringle and Ed Bernard do not appear in this episode. This is the only Season 1 episode in which Joan Pringle does not appear. Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • This episode strangely foreshadows events that happened near the end of Season 2. Jackson talks to Coolidge of his fear of dying and ends up dying in "The Death of Me Yet", while Reese comforts a passenger on the plane and would do the same while doing community service in "A Few Good Men." Edit
    • The "split-shot" of Coolidge that occurs before all of Season 2's episodes comes from this episode. Edit
