An OK episode, but I found the plot a little ridiculous. Reeves is drawn into fundraising for a mobile health-care unit for high blood pressure and doesn't want to do it. So, what does he do? He uses it as punishment for the team for wrecking the driver's-ed car.
From then, Reeves deserves what happens. The team goes to Elgin Baylor's house and tell him Reeves is DEAD in order to get a donation. Reeves gets flowers and sympathy cards, but the only problem is, he's not dead!
The special guest cast seemed a little incoherent. Elgin Baylor, I understand-retired Laker, lives in LA. Chet Walker-former Bulls "Teammate". Rams' cheerleaders-hey, gotta have eye candy. Sparky Anderson? Jimmie Walker? Where's the connection there?
Sadly, this is one of more than a few cases of unnecessary silliness that marked season 3 and hastened this show's demise.
