The Wiggles start off their third season with a revamping of their show. Out are the Network Wiggles regular segments of the News, Anthony's Workshop, Captain's Magic Buttons, Music with Murray, Where's Jeff, and Wiggle Community Service Announcements. In are the segments of Sailing Around the World where Captain Feathersword leads outdoor skits at various locales, In are the Little Wiggles (four boys dressed up as the Wiggles) and Dorothy's Dance Class which is led by Dorothy and two Wiggle dancers of the week.
This episode was mainly songs with intros by the Wiggles inviting kids to sing along. It's good to hear some newer material mixed with their classic songs. The videos are more elaborate, cutting through different scenes. Concert footage is up to date with this year, pulling from the Live! Hot Potatoes! Video.
The main disappointment I had with this week’s episode was with Dorothy’s Dance Class, which does not look organized at all. In fact, the Wiggle Dancers barely explained the move and weren’t even coordinated like they usually are. It was something having to do with elbows, while mixed in with Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes. It would have been better to just play the “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” song. The good thing is that in other episodes, they do explain it better.
