The Wiggles

Season 5 Episode v27

Wiggledancing (Live in the USA) (VIDEO-2006)

Aired Daily 9:00 AM Aug 15, 2006 on NBC

  • Trivia

    • This is the first DVD to include a full LCAW episode (#315) although Whoo Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins included a half-full version of #303.

    • On the program guide, the song Here Comes a Chicken is in the list, but during this concert video, the song is only played in the Medley.

    • Music Box Jeff
For those who've questioned whether The Wiggles play their own instruments, Jeff Wiggle plays the entire piano section of the classic Music Box Dancer song.

    • Mascot tag-teaming?
Although Lyn Stuckey was credited only for playing Dorothy the Dinosaur, and Caterina Mete was credited only as a Wiggle Dancer, in this video, Lyn is featured on stage as a Wiggle Dancer more often than Caterina.

During Toot Toot, you can see Caterina as a Wiggly Dancer.

During Music Box Dancer, both Lyn Stuckey and Kristy Talbot (who plays Wags the Dog) are featured dancers.

On the tours, the gals take turns playing Dorothy or the other mascots.

    • Zoe and Katty make their debut in the concert video series. They are also the two gals in the Spanish Wiggles.

46 shows nationwide starting from July 28, 2006 (Alabama) to November 18, 2006 (Florida)

This was the final concert tour featuring Greg as the Yellow Wiggle. His final performance was in either Philadelphia or Rhode Island. Sam replaced him for the remainder of the tour.

    • Two songs from their later published 2006 film Racing to the Rainbow make appearances in this DVD. "Music Box Dancer" is one of the featured songs, and "Here Come The Chicken" is featured in the Medley.

    • As with the video Live Hot Potatoes, Sam Moran is doing background vocals live in the majority of the songs.

    • This is the first time Zoe Velez does the voice of Dorothy the Dinosaur.

    • This is the first time we see the live action version of this song called, "Sailing Around the World".

    • The new version of the instrumental song, "Wags the Dog" is heard during the introduction and end credits of the video. It can also be found on a special Wiggles Karaoke CD, "Crunchy Munchy Music".
