    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (7)

      • The "wolves" that Jim wrestle with, particularly in the opening scene, are blatant dummies with wolf growls dubbed in on the soundtrack.

      • In the first shot of Talamantes' underground tunnels, a spider crawls right to left. It's clearly fake, and the legs barely move as someone pulls it across on a wire.

      • When Jim escorts Talamantes out and they encounter the wolves, Jim calls the bad guy "Professor." There's no indication previously that Talamantes is a professor, or that Stefan told Jim that.

      • When Jim throws the boot grenade at the wolf, it doesn't just run away or die. It literally vanishes thanks to some camera trickery.

      • When Jim escapes in the mine cart, first it is clearly moving quite fast but in the next long shot, it has come to a dead stop. Secondly, the mine tunnel behind Jim explodes for absolutely no reason and from no visible cause.

      • Disguises: King Stefan IX

      • Gadgets: smoke bomb in boot heel compartment

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Artie: (posing as a king) Kneel, peasant.
Jim: As a decoy, you're a sitting duck
Artie: I know. Perfectly willing to abdicate but nobody wants the job.
        Jim: Long live the king.
        Artie: Thank you.

      • Jim: You shouldn't be alone, Princess.
Leandra: I wish you wouldn't call me that.
Jim: Better get used to it after tomorrow.
Leandra: After tomorrow, I'll be a prisoner.
Jim: It won't be so bad. There'll be parties, balls, palace dances.
Leandra: I like a square dance.
Jim: And there'll be handsome officers.
Leandra: They wouldn't last a day in a Western saddle.
Jim: And there's another thing. When your Prince Charming comes along, he'll be a real prince.
Leandra: Oh, he'll be real, all right. Handpicked by the Royal Matchmaker. He'll have blue blood but not much of it. No chin but lots of stomach.

      • Talamantes: Please do not scream again, princess. It offends me.
