Can you count the number of laugh tracks pumped into this show?

Can this show get any more desperate?

albeit a few good moments, that was an unconfortable and generally poor show.

The laugh track is absolutely brutal.

    I agree.

I can't even think of a good sitcom on TV these days that has a laugh-track.

the laugh track is still brutal, but the 2nd episode is significantly better so far.... not necessarily good, but better.

Totally agree, Can you imagine a show like The Office with a laugh track? *shudders*

The show may actually be funnier to me if it werent for all the laugh tracks.

Didn't an episode of Family Guy recently make fun of "laugh tracks" with Stewie?  Geez lol.

This show's formula is the same as in HBO's Luckie Louie....

    1. Not funny
    2. Offensive - children in inappropriate situations.

But at least Lucky Louie has some nudity, cussing, and a live studio audience.

Wrong. No laugh track.... no live audience.

I got a few of The Office episodes on my hard drive.

Lots of teenagers been in those situations except for the part with massage place.

Lots of children have been in inappropriate situations but does that always make it good comedy? Regardless, the massage/whore-house stuff was primarily what I was talking about. The boy barely looked like he was 11 ... however I do realize the character was probably supposed to be a little older like a freshman in high school.

My formula comparison would be meaningless to anyone that never saw Lucky Louie.

With Lucky Louie, the little girl on the show was supposed to be four years old.

Nothing about the show upset me or was out of line. Kids in inappropriate situations does not make good comedy? Look at south park. And yes, they are not "Real" kids. But still, i think the reason the kid plays such a large roll is because he is just like the adult roll in that he knows almost nothing at all about women. The actor that plays the child roll is 14 year old and no it would be insane to show or even talk about the child having sex... But in real life, 3 out or 5 kids start around that age.. Its insane but its life. I think they do a decent job of not being smut and just dealing with issues.

I like South Park... and South Park is creative and funny. So my point really has little to do solely with a show doing something offensive with children.

My main point was that the formula of this show is similar to Lucky Louie's.

I don't think it's unfunny because it's offensive... I think the show is BOTH unfunny AND offensive... not to mention uncomfortably creepy.

Maybe you're right in that the laugh track was supposed to be a joke.... but it just wasn't working for me.

Anyone see the ratings yet? Just curious.

I couldn't bear to watch it anymore after the second commercial break because of the laugh track. Before that I laughed only once when he said something about that kids dad molesting him. Other than that I couldn't pay attention to what the people were saying because the laugh track kept annoying me.
When the show first started I thought it was actually going to make fun of the laugh tracks it was so horrible then i realized it was just part of the show. If they get rid of the track I'll try watching it again otherwise I hope it gets cancelled and something better gets put on in its place.

Yeah, making fun of something in your own show, which I think premiered straight afterwards.... not smart.
