The box of Pop Tarts in Glen's room is a new version of the box not available in 1994.
Irene: Honey, I bought you and your pal, Terry, tickets to the Ice Capades.
Glen: Ma, I'm not gay.
Ron: It's not because ya tried it and ya didn't like it, right?
Ron: Son, cut the crap. Why the hell are you going to the football hall of fame with a gay man!?
Glen: 'cause no straight man has asked.
Glen: Miguel, you're a sage in matters of the heart. May I ask you a question?
Miguel: I'd be hurt if you didn't.
Glen: What are the chances that a gay man, who's been buying me presents, and complimenting me on my eyes, and uh, and wants to take me away for the weekend, has no intention of doing anything romantic to me, or to my buttox?
Glen: Okay, Okay. If he's "gay", then why is he taking me to the Liza Minnelli concert tonight? I mean Hello!? Liza Minnelli, The piece of ass from Arthur.
The bar that Glen and Terry go to has a sign that says "Blitt Beer" which is an obvious reference to creator/writer "Ricky Blitt".
This episode went on iTunes before its broadcast premiere.
Nell
The movie Nell is mentioned many times in this episode. Nell is about a girl that grew up in a secluded cabin in the woods with her paralyzed mother. Her mother was paralyzed on only one side of her body, so when Nell learned to speak, it was mostly slurs and odd sounds.
Cheers
In the scene where the kids are on the bench, they are discussing the sitcom Cheers. Murray claims that the role of Sam Malone (Played by Ted Danson) almost went to actor James Woods. However Glen corrects him in saying that it was actually William Devane that almost received the part.
