If you read the episode description it says "Little Kenard makes a big score." So all signs point to this video being true, but then again you never know.

    okay, prepare to be shocked.

Omar walks into a corner store, asks for a soft pack of "Newpawts." Kenard comes in... Omar takes one shot to the head, he goes down. Dead. By Kenard.

True story. I know, it's kind of messed up. Hopefully it's a "fake" scene they shot and leaked on purpose, but that seems stretching it for a show like The Wire.

If that's the way the producers want Omar to go out, then that is some weak mess right there. I always envisioned Omar taking out Snoop or Chris before being done in by Marlo( probably how this situation would go down). Then again, this is the Wire and there aren't always happy endings on this show. It would be like a fairytale if Omar takes down Marlo's empire but it ain't a fairytale, this is "The Wire".

I don't believe it to be true. Omar is seen "walking" not limping into the store to by a pack of Newports. If his leg was still bothering him in ep. 7, then it should be still hampering him in ep 8 through ep 10.

But this is the wire!!!! The BEST SHOW ON TV!!!

NOOOOOOOOO! Say it ain't so, Joe! Is it stupid to pray for the life of a fictional character? Please, God, let this be a fake. Omar deserves to go out in a blaze of glory, preferably taking out a few of Marlo's soldiers with him in a hail of gunfire- not ambushed by that odious imp, Kenard

I hate that little pleb Kenard. I hope Michael spanks his ass again. I wish i had not read this now, lol. I know its not a show where everything works outs but why is Omar even walking around buying "Newports" anywhere near where Kenard and Marlos crew is. Seems a bit strange.

I asked the question and now I'm sorry I did. At least this will give me time to get over the shock by time the episode airs.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, Omar was killed by Kenard. I saw the episode on demand. The sad thing was that it happened within the first 20 minutes of the episode. If it at least happened at the end, I could stomach it. The way the producers killed off Omar was wrong on so many levels.

I too watched this sorry excuse for a episode last night on demand. As a loyal and die hard Wire fan, i believe the matter in which they killed Omar was a slap in the face. The Wire to me is more then a TV show but more of a huge inspiration for me as a inspiring writer. To kill a beloved character, in such a matter, as if he didnt matter, or was important to the show and its fans is appauling. Killed by Kenard? PLEASE! The moment i seen Omar drop to the floor, my heart did the same. Now im not nieve enough to say Omar was not going to die, he was going to die eventually, but killed by a kid, who isnt even worthy of being called a minor supporting character in the series sickens me. I thought it was a dream sequence in all honesty. The Wire will go down in history as one of the greatest dramas even seen through the silver screen that captivated the hearts of millions, black, white, rich and poor. Unfournatly, that 60 second scene severly damaged its repuatation has one of the provoking series of our time. If people thought that backlash from Stringer Bell being killed was bad, riots will erupt when the world knows of Omar's undercutting fate...

Silver screen? Dream sequence? On The Wire? You're kidding, right?

It's all in the game though, right? I mean this season, as well as last season, is all about the new seeds being sown, and Kenard killing Omar just strengthens that. Real life doesn't have spectators cheering for which people get to live or die, or by whose hands they're life is taken. So what if Kenard isn't even a "minor supporting character," he's part of the new breed/generation of corner kids that the series has been talking about for two seasons. That's life, and that is definitely the streets. Young hoppers are always trying to make a name for themselves, and a kid killing someone such as Omar is perfectly fitting.

I have to agree with the last post Omar got the end that people who rob drug dealers get one in the back of the head. If Marlo's crew came straight at him he would know how to handle it but even Omar can't be on his guard all the time. In real life people don't go out in a blaze of glory. It's funny how some people are so upset at this but n talking to other fans of the show they were just as annoyed when Omar pulled "some real Spider-man type **** a few shows back.
