question about Kevin's father

    I grew up watching this show in the 80s and 90s when it was on. It really was one in a million -- a classic, timeless show.


    I have a question Iam hoping someone on this forum can help me answer. At the end of the series, it was mentioned that Kevin's father passes away. Does anyone here remember what he died of?

    My recollection is that it's mentioned in the voice-over at the end... he says that the dad started a carpentry/furniture shop, and 'Wayne took over when Dad passed on...' I don't recall that he says what the dad died of. Speculation: it probably had something to do with high blood pressure, high cholesterol and/or a bad heart.
