Then that should be a funny conversation between us. Back on topic: I was reminded of TXF when last night, I heard the full theme music play in the room next door. She is not a fan of the show but I guess noone can resist its charme to 100 percent.

I was taking a math quiz the other day, and the extra credit question had an alien drawn underneath it. The question had nothing to do with aliens, but it still reminded me of The X-files, especially since it had been drawn in pencil and was gray from all the photo-copying

Huzzah! The X-Files helped me on my exam today!

My prof was really mean and chose obscure questions from tables in the textbook, instead of testing us on the lecture material, as a normal human being would.

Anyways, there was asking about ergot, and I had not seen that once at all in my notes. But then I remembered Never Again and ergot poisoning, and changed my answer (I'd originally written that it was an artifical flavouring, rather than a hallucinogenic alkaloid )

Check out the show Eleventh Hour if you want to be reminded of the XF. It is awesome, and, on the EH forum, we have a whole thread just for comparing and contrasting XF/EH. Also check out the campaign we are doing to keep it on the air. We haven't loved much since the XF, and we don't want to let the closest thing to it slip away. Come help us!

Thank you! I started watching it because it looked like a cool show, kinda like XF but sadly, it is pretty ridiculous.. I was SO disappointed that I never watched an episode again.

No it's not it's actually a really good show. Pi now you know you shouldn't compare anything to the TXF because it just won't live up. TXF is too special a show for you .

It's not the government doing these things it's a couple of scientists and plus Walter Bishop makes that show he's amazingly quirky. Fringe and TXF have similar themes but they're totally different in my opinion anyhow. I think like all new shows you should stick with it while it finds its feet and then judge. But hey if you don't like you don't like . Oh yeah and Dunham does grow on you. But don't get me wrong i'm not trying to discredit your opinion or anything it's yours and can't be wrong.

    Done rambling now

    EDIT: My paragraphs went walkies

Okies.. sorry for saying it's ridiculous. It feels like this to me, at least in parts, so I stopped watching but if you like it then it can't be bad. Yes, blame it on XF having spoiled me! It's true..
    Sorry again!

I was reminded of The X-Files yesterday while watching the movie "Double Jeapordy" that my mom had popped in. I wasn't really paying attention to the cast names until Annabeth Gish appeared. I suddenly shouted it to my mom, who gave me a strange look even after I explained to her the X-Files connection.

I agree Piper.... Nothing is ever good enough for us after watching TXF... Especially for those of us who have been a phile from day one... The X Files has spoiled a lot for us... Romance is never gonna be good enough for us either.... hahahaha.....

I must say I just finished watching Steven Spielberg's Taken and that was an amazing miniseries... If you haven't watched it you def should check it out... It's like watching the mythology from TXF but without Mulder and Scully... But it was well made and the story is soooooo similar to the alien mythology in TXF... great show....

Kay, thanks for the rec, Trish! And you're so right about romance not being good enough after MSR. -.-' It feels like there's no real men in the world!!!

They're playing the "NAILED IT!" Dairy Queen commercial again. It makes me smile every time I see/hear it.
