Goof: Skinner shoots Krycek twice in the arm which knocks Krycek to the floor. As Krycek talks to Skinner his head position implies that he's still on the floor. However, when Skinner shoots him again (in slow motion), Krycek is on his feet.
Goof: When Reyes pulls back Billy's collar to show Scully he doesn't have any vitals, it's visible that a piece of the fake skin that covers the bump on his neck is folded over.
When Doggett first meets Rohrer at the Bureau he shows an official FBI badge, but in the scene following he has a red (visitor's) one.
Frohicke said to Mulder that Doggett never told Mulder where Scully was, but he did when Mulder was in the parking garage asking Doggett on the phone where she was and he heard too.
What Frohicke said was that Doggett never reached Mulder with specific coordinates. He told him the name of the town and that it was in northern Georgia but this town was abandoned and probably would not have been on any maps, so the fact that Mulder found it was a miracle.
Goof: During the chase scene in the FBI corridors, Doggett is carrying his gun. When the scenes cuts to the stairwell, the gun is gone, and when the scene returns to the corridors, the gun is back on his hand.
At the end, Mulder asks Scully what she named their son. She says that she named him, William, after Mulder's father. William is also Mulder's middle name as well as Scully's father's and brother's first name.
Mulder: (to Scully) Now I see why you gave up a career in medicine to join the FBI, Scully, you have Manos de Piedra.
'Manos de Piedra' means 'hands of stone' in Spanish.
Do you know the height one must fall to be considered possibly life threatening? Twice that of his height. Two times in this episode Doggett falls from a height equal or greater to three times his height. Both times he gets up, uninjured.
Once again we find Scully talking into a phone where we hear dial tone (when Mulder chases the creature into Stites house). Mulder and Scully are pretty smart, why don't they ever realize that when you hear dial tone after talking with someone...that means they hung up on you.
Leyla Harrison asks Mulder how he got back from Antarctica after saving Scully, when his vehicle was out of fuel. This is a nod to many X-Philes who had been asking this same question.
When Mulder leaves Doggett in the X-Files office you can see a picture of Samantha on the desk. Mulder wouldn't leave the FBI without it.
"Vienen" is Spanish for 'They Come'.
It seems a little strange that Mulder's body has been able to restore itself from almost death, plus three months of decomposition, but that the marks from the cheek pulling things are still there! There seems little evidence that the marks from any of the other experiments are still around.
Scully takes Mulder back to his apartment when he gets out of the hospital. Everything's still there and it's even clean! Scully must really like his place to have kept it the way it was, even though he was supposed to have died 3 months earlier.
At Mulder's funeral, there is snow on the ground, so that would mean it was around the end of November, beginning of December at the earliest, so shouldn't Scully have been showing?
It seems to me that even if Scully did have power of attorney, if she really believed Mulder was dead (and presumably she did if she allowed him to be buried), then she of all people would want to know how and why he died.
Response to Goof: With both of his parents dead & finding his sister's final fate, chances are that Mulder's Power of Attorney would go to Scully. And Scully would not want Mulder dissected like that, so maybe that is why he was buried without an autopsy or any kind of exam.
Mulder had been buried for three months by the time that he was dug up. Wouldn't it stand to reason that before his burial an autopsy would have been performed, given that his death was rather unusual? Obviously one hadn't, or he'd have a 'Y' incision in his torso and would be missing (at least pieces) of organs.
In Within(1) and Without(2), the machine that produces the tools for Mulder's tests is next to him on his right, yet in this episode, in Scully's dream, it is on his left.
The title of this episode strangely echoes a scene from the season 3 episode "Jose Chung's From Outer Space".
Where the cigarette smoking alien exclaims "this is not happening" over and over. Both episodes deal with extra terrestrials as well.
