  • "All these people think Katherine bought the farm."

    9.8
Once in every few years comes an episode as perfect as this one was. A true series classic started with a wonderful performance of Jeanne Cooper playing Marge Cotrooke's ghost, talking to the camera for the viewers. Breaking that wall is something that never happens on soaps, so it was nice seeing something much different. Of course, that only leads into the wonderful episode.

The episode wonderfully incorporate existing storylines and gave us little doses of it while centering on the main plot, Katherine's presumed-funeral. And then all the wonderful long gone faces returned to Genoa City. And Y&R fan was in heaven while watching their fan favorites return after a long time. For the ones that didn't read the spoilers, it much have been a shock of the century when Marla Adams returned after a 12 year absence as Dina. The woman did amazing, and she was accompanied by the amazing Traci. Then Danny came with Gina, and they were all stuck together with Daniel, Amber, Phyllis and Nick. I just loved how Phyllis and Amber finally made a truce. There was just something so powerful in those scenes, I just can't explain it.

And the dear Brock returns! Of course, we got a follow-up on Ashley's adventure in Paris, and it looks like her bad attitude is making it's return. She was quite harsh to Nikki. Hopefully that will drag Nikki away from Victor and focus on other stuff.

And then the most amazing of all returns! The multi-talented Tricia Cast walked in during the preparations and absolutely stunned me away. She looks beautiful and in those few scenes she had shown that her acting talent is still there. Oh I just wish she would stay in Genoa City longer.

Seeing Phyllis slowly bursting from what she saw in Paris brought another amount of enjoyment in me, as well as her dress. Stafford has a great body, doesn't she? Of course, Victor made a stunning reappearance in Genoa City and for a moment managed to overshadow the funeral. I loved the reaction and everything that followed up. But never mind, another shocked came at the very end when Marge's ghost found Katherine's body in the river. After disappearing, we saw Kay moving.moreless

Katherine, are you there? Katherine, Hon, answer me, Sweetheart. I got to know where-- where you're at. I mean... if you're alive, you could be hurt or you could be in trouble. Come out, come on, Hon. That means you can't get home. Listen, you helped me. You helped me when I needed it. And I'll tell you something right now, Hon. I'm gonna help you. So you hang on, Babe! You hang on, Sweetheart. I'll be there!
