Another brilliant funeral episode just continues the set of episodes that I will never forget until the rest of my life. Never in daytime have I seen such a wonderfully done funeral. So many people and things to remember. All other soap writers should take notes from this one: This is how you should do it people!

Now that a part of the proceedings is over, Victor's return is fully effecting his family. We're finally seeing Victor in the way we want to see him. I didn't want to see him brooding over a woman that he spent a few months with. That's not true love. All other ex-wives spent more time with him and had a greater bond and no writer can convince me that Sabrina had such a huge effect on him. I'm glad Ashley is there to fill the void.

Murphy and Katherine are quite a nice couple, actually. They should consider keeping Murphy there for a longer time. That actor has got a lot of talent. The only thing I could care less about were Noah and Eden. That type of storyline means nothing to me when there are bigger things going on. The writers are still creating tension between Heather and Paul every time Paul doesn't choose Heather as the first thing on his list. That's how it's suppose to be done.

I'm interested to see how the will reading will go. I'm sad that it seems to be the final episode with the returning character, but I'm glad we got to see them at all. And what long time Y&R fan wouldn't comment on Lauren and Traci's scene today? After so many years, Lauren finally apologizes to Traci. It's a great demonstration of how a character grew from a spoiled teen to a great woman. It's another big win for the writers.moreless

    • Lauren: Look, you've never done or said anything wrong in your entire life. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing. Look, I'm--I just-- I can't believe how cruelly I treated you when we were kids. (Sighs) I saw that movie "Mean Girls."
      Traci: Oh. (Laughs)
Lauren: You know? It just had me written all over it. I wanted to write you. I wanted to, um, call you, but... I-I didn't.
Traci: Look, Lauren, we all have things that we regret from our past.
Lauren: You know, Katherine was such a great woman. (Sniffles) She was an amazing friend, and there was just-- there's just so much I wanted to say to her and do. It's too late. But when I saw you here, I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to tell you how truly sorry I am. You know, I'd like to think that I'm a better person now. (Laughs) But until I looked you in the eye and really apologized, I knew that wasn't gonna be true.
Traci: If Katherine were here right now, she would be so proud of you, Lauren.

    • Nina: So what are you gonna do now, Esther? Are you gonna retire?
Esther: Oh, Nina, I-I don't know. I can't even think past today.
Nina: Oh, that's okay. Just give it some time. We're all kind of in a little bit of shock. I mean, it's not like Jill's gonna throw your stuff out on the lawn, right?
      Esther: Want to bet?

    • Dina: Jack, please give my love to Ashley and keep me apprised of what she's doing. I mean, the prospect of a reconciliation with Victor is quite disturbing.

    • Danny: Nina's a hotshot screenwriter now.
Nina: Oh, yes. I know all about selling screenplays that never get made into movies.

    • Liz: Oh, well. The last time I saw Katherine a few years ago, I was struck she hadn't changed at all. I mean, Katherine always had more spark, more life in her than people a fraction of her age.
      Jill: Yep.
Chloe: I should have taken her clubbing.
