      • Jack Ford directed approximately 145 movies between 1917 and 1966. He won four Oscars (The Quiet Man in 1953, The Grapes Of Wrath in 1941, How Green Was My Valley in 1942, and The Informer in 1935). He was also nominated for Best Director for Stagecoach in 1936. In 1998, the American Film Institute released "100 Years ... 100 Films," a list of the top 100 American films. Ford's Grapes Of Wrath was listed as the 21st best film.
