    • TRIVIA (4)

    • QUOTES (6)

      • Neil: Open up! It's the pigs!
Warlock: What's the matter, man? I was fast asleep on my bed. Oh! Hello, Neil, mate!
Neil: Hi, Warlock. Uh, look. This is a bust.
Warlock: Oh, I know it's one, man. Hey! Don't flush the toilet! It's cool! It's only Neil!

      • Man on TV: With Christmas only 4 months away, imagine that this desk top is a crowded shopping street on a busy Saturday morning. Say, for instance, that this huge meringue filled with whipped cream is a young mother loaded down with her groceries. And perhaps this enormous, soggy, over ripe tomato is a tiny little girl who doesn't realise what a dangerous place her exciting new world is. And let's assume that this clingfilm parcel of mashed banana and jam is a deaf senior citizen in a wheelchair and is blind. And that this cricket bat, with a breeze block nailed to it, is your car. Now, what happens if your car mounts the pavement? (bashes the various food products with the heavy cricket bat) Think once. Think twice. Think Don't Drive Your Car On The Pavement.

      • Il Duce: Whenever people bother me,
When they shout and raise their voices
I don't let it get me down
I just make some stupid noises, I go
Uhh uhh uuh uhh, nyig nyig nyig nyig nyig nyig nyig
Wizz bom wizz bom Mrs Ghandi ya ya
Ahh ooh ahh pig mig nog nog bluuhuuhuu
Woo buh wah veh yah nah wah wah bluurrrurrr
When your boss is giving you the sack
Cause you've lost all his invoices
Don't drink a bottle of sulphuric acid
Relax, make stupid noises, just go
Lyoog lyoog lyoog mizz nig nog wogga bluhhuhuh
Mizz mogg bing bong yiggdy yiggdy rick
Ooh mogg mogg niggedy nog wig wog wiggelly wog
Noo noo wiggelly woo tick tock rheumatism yo fades out.

      • Maniac: A-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! I've just been round my neighbour's house, to borrow a drill, but he wasn't in. A-ha-ha-ha-ha! So I broke in, and ate his fishtank, and I wasn't even hungry. A-ha-ha-ha-ha! You won't catch me with my trousers!

      • Vyv: You know, I have the most terrible craving for a piece of fried lavatory paper.
Rik: Well that's just too bad Vyvian, cause you finished the last roll last week.

      • Mike: This calls for a celebration. Vyv, chuck another record player on the fire.
Rik: YOU BASTARD! THAT'S MY RECORD PLAYER!
Mike: You said It was your record player!
Vyv: No I didn't Michael, I said "Let's throw Rik's record player on the fire, that'll be good for a laugh!"
Mike: Oh yeah! It is yours Rik.
Rik: YES IT IS NOW GIVE IT BACK!
(Vyvyan hands a charred piece of wood. Rik despairs)
Rik: My parents gave me that record player after my O levels.
Vyv: By the looks of it you failed them all!

    • NOTES (2)

      • The Radio Times description says: "'Whizz Bang' - the new youth programme. Roger Dingo talks live in the studio to Screaming Leppard. On film, Barry Coathanger Smith talks to Minty from Broken Chair about his new cooker. The weekend starts somewhere over there in the corner." Also included was a photo with the caption: "Ready or not, here they come. Join Nigel Planer, Rik Mayall, Christopher Ryan and Adrian Edmondson for more Young Ones humour."

      • The pseudonym Ken Bishop would be reused by Simon Brint when he appeared in French & Saunders' band Raw Sex. The performance of "Subterranean Homesick Blues" by Ken Bishop's Nice Twelve is edited out of the region 1 DVD.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Man on TV: Think once. Think twice. Think Don't Drive Your Car On The Pavement.
This whole narrative is a spoof of a UK Public Information Film which ran as: Think once. Think twice. Think Bike. It was screened in 1975 and featured Edward Judd. It aimed to make car drivers more aware of motorbike riders at junctions.
