Absolute genius from beginning to end, and 37 years later this is still a wonderful episode. From the early scene in the hiring office, where Bronson tries to pick up the secretary in front of all the other prospective hirees, to the end, when he takes William P (Kurt Russell)to the Dodger scouts, there\'s not a false note in this episode. Always wise, in this case Bronson\'s wisdom is his ability to pick up how a star pitcher is telegraphng his pitches, and I\'ve never forgotten the scene where he shows William P how he\'s tipping his hand. Parks has all of his mannerisms in perfect control in this episode; nothing is over- or under-done. Funny, touching, well-writtten... if this isn;t the best episdoe, it\'s close enough to it.moreless
