Faith: What do you mean, 'how does it work'?
Doc: Well, you guys kinda have an unconditional arrangement, right?
Faith: Yeah, but you gotta get over the big sterotypes, like what the husband does and what the wife does. That stuff will kill you. I mean, like Fred, he takes on a lot of responsiblity and I admire him for that, but he gets to spend a lot more time with the kids. And... I envy that. You know, truth of the matter is that he's a lot better at it, you know, a lot more patient, for Fred his job, it's just like a job, you know, but I could never stop being a cop. I gotta feel like I'm out in the world, like I'm doin' somethin', but not Fred. He could care less about contributing to society. I think that if I made a lotta dough, he'd quit his job and be a stay-at-home dad in a heartbeat. He'd take the kids to the park, play ball with his friends, you know, that's his idea of heaven. I think you're lucky though, I think you're really lucky. You got this chance to just sit back and decide what it is that you wanna do with the rest of your life.
Taylor: You're doing the run sheets.
Carlos: Like hell! It's my bus!
Taylor: I'm senior.
Doc: Work it out like you're adults. (Carlos gets pissed, and Taylor laughs)
Sully: Wow, it's huge!
Doc: Is it too much?
Sully: I don't know about too much, but I would definitely marry you.
Doc: Sarah Cristina, will you marry me?
Morales: You bet your ass I will.
Carlos: How long have you known about this job thing, man? (Doc is silent) Whoa, my God. You just found out. Well, you know, if she's got an interview, that means she sent a resume in, probably talked to people on the phone... What's the job for?
Doc: Director of Emergency Services.
Carlos: Ooh. Well, she's on the short list for a big promotion, and she didn't tell you. Are you sure she said yes to marriage? I mean, this girl's a player.
Jimmy: Are you movin' to Philadelphia?
Carlos: Hot chicks always get the job. (Doc throws something at him) What, I can't say that she's hot?
Doc: No, you can't. A friend of hers got her the interview as a favor. I doubt there's much to it.
Jimmy: Alright, well, I got dibs on your apartment if you go.
Doc: Come on, listen, things like this don't just happen.
Carlos: They don't happen to working stiffs like you, but Morales is moving on up. Hey, are you gonna change your name? Maybe Monte Morales or Mrs. Dr. Morales? (Doc walks away)
Carlos (to Doc): People make bad decisions every day.
Carlos: So, you're actually going?
Doc: It makes sense.
Carlos: How much would she make?
Doc (laughs): That's none of your business.
Carlos: Ooh. That means a lot. Enough to kick back and learn golf?
Doc: I'm gonna work like always, okay? Boss said that I might even be able to become an instructor.
Carlos: Oh, man, you're gonna be the highest living paramedic in America. You're gonna get used to the fat life, fast. I'm laying odds that you're gonna quit working in less than a year. Become a K.B.
Doc: K.B?
Carlos: Kept bitch.
One-Armed Man (to Bosco): Don't the police have a height requirement or something?
(Bosco handcuffs the one-armed man, by his arm, then attached it to his ankle)
Faith: Bosco, what are you doing to him?
Bosco: I don't know. He pushed me, he pissed me off, and you know what? Don't worry about him.
Faith: Why don't we go find the guy who hit this old man in the head? You know, he's a real criminal.
Bosco: He pushed me. He pushed me, what was I supposed to do? You can't let people push you. (the one-armed is running away with his arm handcuffed to his ankle)
Faith: We've got a foot pursuit, and uh, he claims to be armed.
Carlos: He's only half right.
Bosco: Oh, da--- Stumpy! Wait for me!
Faith (to Carlos): Fightin' crime.
Morales: Why can't you just do this? Why can't you just come with me? What? You can't leave New York?
Doc: No, it's not that.
Morales: Then what?
Doc: I have to be the man, Sarah. I wanna take care of you. I wanna give you things. I want you to be the mother of my children. I want you to be my wife. What's wrong with that?
Morales: There's nothing wrong with that. But I'm a dcotor, you know? It doesn't make me less of a woman, it's just part of me.
Doc: I know. I know that, but I need my wife to be my wife. My woman.
Morales: I will be your wife.
Doc: You don't need me.
Morales: Yes, I do, Doc. I need you...
Doc: No. No. You don't need me. What you do is important to you. I can't... stop needing what I need and wanting what I want.
Morales: A wife like Debra. Well, I can't be someone that I'm not.
Doc: I can't either. I wish I could, but I can't.
Morales: I have to take this job, Doc.
Doc: I can't go with you. (she sets the engagement ring down on the table)
Morales: I love you, too. (walks off)
Carlos (to Doc when he decides to stay): I might've missed you.
Sarah: I bought a new dress, too -- look!
Doc: You know, maybe I should wear it, you know, like a good wife. Show my legs, help you get the job.
Carlos (to Doc): Wait, hold up! You're moving to Phila-frigging-delphia?
