    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • The day after this episode aired (October 13th 2001), Derek Kelly, who plays the recurring role of DK and Molly Price who plays Faith Yokas, got married.

      • When Alex is driving the little girl to the hospital, a cab cuts the ambulance off. Alex pulls the wheel left to swerve, but in the external shot, the ambulance swerves right.

    • QUOTES (19)

      • Sully (they are digger through trash for the heart): What the hell is it supposed to look like?
Bosco: I think we'd know it when we see it, Sully.
Davis: Bosco, you wanna help out a little bit?
Bosco: No, I don't, Davis. (Faith glares at him) But I will.

      • Carlos: A little girl with a bad heart, her parents could at least get a ground floor apartment.
Taylor: Or maybe somethin' on Park Avenue with a doorman and a freight elevator?
Carlos: Look, you know what I'm sayin'.
Taylor (looks up at the flights of stairs): Yeah, I do.
Carlos: I could always just carry her in my arms.
        Taylor: You may have to.

      • Kim: You lost?
Bosco: No. Yokas has some wild hair up her ass today. I'm tryin' to stay clear of the hurricane. She's takin' all this real personal. Pretty biazarre, huh? I thought for sure she toast when she jumped off that roof. She jumped five floors and still had enough left to get to her to the hospital.
Kim: Fogging her for an hour didn't do her much good.
Bosco: Guess not. She still ended up in the same place.
Kim: I, uh, owe you a thank you.
Bosco: Good I could use one.
Kim: You're the only one not walking on eggshells about me handling a suicide. Everyone acts like I'm gonna freak out cause of my accident, I don't know how many times I have to say that I wasn't tryin' to... you know. At least you don't treat me like I'm damaged goods.
Bosco: Yeah, uh, you seem alright to me.

      • Faith: Name, address, date of birth. License doesn't give you a lot of information.
Bosco: As long as there's enough to fill out a police report, I'm satisfied.
Faith: Yeah, but it doesn't tell you enough about a person.
Bosco: Well, how much more do you need to know?
Faith: What made her so damaged?
Bosco: Damaged. She should take a number.
        Faith: What? You're damaged?
Bosco: How many people do we know who'd give anything to be breathin' right now? Wife and kids at home... no husband, no father. And here comes this stupid, selfish... I got no sympathy.

      • Fred: You should be takin' it easy, the procedure's a week away.
Faith: It's surgery, Fred. And I'll take it easy afterward.
Fred: Maybe I should talk to Bosco. Make sure he's keepin' you from pushin' yourself too hard.
Faith: No, don't say anything to him, he doesn't know.
        Fred: What?
Faith: Well, why would I tell him?
Fred: You tell him everything else.
        Faith: I do not!
Fred: I can't cut one in bed without havin' him bustin' my chops about it for a week after. (Faith laughs) But this, you're havin' a procedure and you're keepin' that a secret. What'd you tell him about the days off?
Faith: I told him that we were goin' down to the shore for a few days.
Fred: If you're not 100 percent your partner should know about it.
Faith: It's not like I'm in pain.
Fred: What about your head? You know, emotionally?
Faith: Emotionally? At least I can say 'surgery'.

      • (about the jumper because they had to run up countless flights of stairs to get to her)
Faith: Go slow, 'cause we don't want to scare her.
Bosco: Scare her? I might kill her myself.
Faith: Alright, that's not gonna be helpful.

      • Jimmy: They said you had a jumper.
Bosco: With a conscience. She landed on that roof. She made a point of avoiding the street, she didn't wanna take anybody out with her. Can you imagine the thought process?
Jimmy: What? A 50 foot jump?
Bosco: Yeah, she was concerned about that, too. Whether she was high enough. I'd say we have an answer.
Lt. Johnson: Well, let's get up there and see.
Bosco: I'll never get these people.
        Kim: 'These people'?
Bosco: Yeah, people who... (Doc is making a motion for him to stop talking) What?
Doc: So, uh, she's up there?
Bosco: Safe bet she hasn't gone anywhere.

      • Kim: You okay?
        Faith: Livin' a dream.

      • Sully: Lost a jumper, huh?
        Faith: It's that obvious?
        Sully: You alright?
Faith: I'm not the one who jumped.
        Davis: Who was she?
        Faith: She wouldn't tell me.
Sully: You know if she lived here?
Faith: She wouldn't even tell me her name, Sully. Address, phone number, favorite color. Those would have been my follow-up questions.
Sully (to Davis): Can you go in and see if there's a super in the building? (Davis does so) People are gonna jump or not jump, no matter what you say.
Faith: I know that. (walks off)
Bosco (about the medics): Look at 'em, rushin' around if she's gonna be any less dead if they get up there any sooner. The chick's a paperweight.

      • Faith: Are you an organ donor?
        Bosco: Still usin' 'em.
Faith: No, I mean, did you check the box on the back of your license?
Bosco: No. I don't want them lookin' at me like a buncha spare parts. It makes me wonder if they'll try as hard, you know?
Faith (about Connie): She check off 'any organ needed'.
Bosco: Yeah, I wonder if she knew that she was gonna squish herself when she signed it? It doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?
        Faith: No, not really.

      • (about the jumper's husband)
        Doc: What'd you tell him?
        Sully: Not much.
Davis: Said she had an accident-- bad fall.
        Bosco: Understatement of the year.
Faith: What organs can they use?
Bosco: Why? Fred need a new liver or somethin'?
Doc: The waiting lists are a mile long, I'm sure she has somethin' somebody can use.
Bosco: Yeah, it's probably some rich guy. Those are the one's you always read about in the news. Mickey Mantle, Walter Peyton... What? You gonna tell me those guys didn't recieve preferrorential treatment?
Doc: Walter Peyton died waiting on that list.
Bosco: Yeah, I'm just sayin', Doc.
Faith: Yes, you are, as usual.
Bosco: Man, you are really touchy today.
Faith: Look, go find someone to beat up.
        Bosco: That hurts.

      • Taylor: So what's the big job?
Carlos: Lucky bastards. Doc's transferring a heart to St. Christopher's.
Taylor: So, what do they need us to do?
Carlos: Get the recipient there. Some kid up in Yorkville.
        Taylor: Are you serious?
Carlos: As a heartattack. No pun intended.

      • Bosco: Dino, in a crack house?
Man: It's the only damn station that comes in. (Bosco unplugs the radio and takes it with him)

      • (when they are bringing the little girl, Cassandra, down the stairs)
        Carlos: You ready?
        Jimmy: Willing and able.
DK: Hey, hey, what a beauty.
Jimmy: Oh, wait a minute. No one told me we had a princess here. Hello Your Majesty. Precious cargo coming down.
Walsh: You're doing fine, Your Highness.
Firefighter: Are you sure you're not a queen?
Firefighter 2: Or a movie star?

      • Faith (about the heart, which they are gonna transport): I'll carry it.
Sully: Davis and I will run interfernce for you.
Bosco: Better not slow down Sully, I'll be up your ass.
Sully: You just try to keep up with my ass, Bosco.

      • (Bosco and Yokas are following Sully and Davis to the hospital with the heart)
Bosco: Man, old Sully's got some lead in that foot. Who does he think he is? Popeye Doyle? You ever see French Connection? (scene cut then back)
Faith: We got a turn comin' up.
        Bosco: I know.
Faith: The lights are against us.
        Bosco: I know.
Faith: Does Sully know? (cut to Davis and Sully's car)
Davis: Alright, better slow down if we're gonna make this turn.
        Sully: I know.
        Davis: Slow down.
        Sully: I know.
Davis: Sully, slow down! (they almost hit a truck) Oh, my God, oh my God. Whoa! Whoa! (cut to Bosco's car)
Bosco: Sully with the lead block. That's what I'm talking about. (back to Sully's car)
        Davis: Whoa! What was that?
        Sully: Old school, my man.

      • Bosco: How could I forget that? I'm goin' on and on about someone killin' themselves. And the whole time I'm talkin' to someone who actually tried it. What is wrong with me?
Faith: Could it be you're self-absorbed?
Bosco: No, that's not it. I just forgot, that's all. It's no big deal, right? I mean, am I supposed to remember every little thing that happens at the firehouse?
        Faith: Yeah, every little thing.
Bosco: Alright, her tryin' to dust herself is a big thing, but... the truth is I hardly know her.
Faith: You don't have to justify it to me. I didn't give her a thought either.
        Bosco: Really? You didn't?
        Faith: None.
Bosco: Good. Good, then I'm okay, then. You kinda took this whole thing personal.
        Faith: Not really.
Bosco: You seem like it's botherin' you.
Faith: I just never really gave organ donation that much thought before. It's kind of like, Connie has a second chance to live, you know?
Bosco: Once of her parts is in the girl, it's not her.
Faith: Yeah, well, it sort of makes her immortal, doesn't it?
Bosco: Yeah, well, big man willing, it'll be a long time before we having to start thinkin' about givin' any pieces away.

      • (they are all in a bar waiting to hear news about Cassandra on TV and her mother thanks the doctors, so everyone makes a toast)
        Doc: To the doctors.
        Everyone: To the doctors.

      • Jimmy: There you are you look good today. Before I forget. (hands Kim an envelope)
Kim: What's this? (opens up envelope and reads the papers in it) What?
Jimmy: It wasn't an easy decision for me.
        Kim: Custody? You want custody?
        Jimmy: Keep your voice down.
Kim: My voice? What is that your plan? To do this in front of your friends so I don't make a scene?
Jimmy: It's nothing I planned. First time I saw you all day.
        Kim: Sole custody?!
Jimmy: If something were to happen to me what would happen to Joey?
Kim: He would have his mother.
Jimmy: You're still working things out.
        Kim: Oh, don't patronize me.
Jimmy: You tried to kill yourself.
Kim: It was an accident. If you think that justifies taking away my son you're out of your mind. (throws the papers in his face)
        Jimmy: There's other copies.
Kim: Yeah, well you can shove those, too.
