  • Really impressive

    9.0
I had never watched this serie and I only did this to find out what came after the first part of this episode shown on ER. And to be honest, I am impressed. It was much more than I expected and it was really interesting. Those characters, all their stories (of what I only get little idea with only one episode), but they were really promising. There is something on this show - the feeling that they do care. And on the same time the action and plot (ok, is it me or was it just too simple to understand who was behind it as soon as they found out it was policeman I was sure it will not be Susie's stepdad but the man they met on the street).

I really think about starting to watch this serie from the beginningmoreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • In "Jimmy's Mountain" (Episode 26) there's a reference to "ER" as the fictional television show that it is, which would make the main story line of this episode both illogical and impossible, not to mention the incongruity that both Michael Beach and Lisa Vidal made frequent guest appearances on "ER" as Al Boulet and Sandy Lopez, respectively.

  • QUOTES (14)

    • Bosco: God, how can kids play out here?
Faith: Well, they'll play wherever you put them.

    • Susan: Chloe, you need to get back into rehab.
Chloe: What? It was some crazy guy. A crazy guy kidnapped her.
Susan: Yeah, from outside a drug house.
Chloe: It was slip. It's not gonna happen again.
Susan: Well, Joe said that you've had more than one slip.
Chloe: Oh, so you're gonna listen to that son of a bitch.
Susan: You need to get into a residential program.
Chloe: He has a girlfriend, the bastard tell you that, huh?
Susan: I will take Suzy to Chicago until you get out.
      Chloe: I'm fine!
Susan: Chloe, addiction is a disease. You are sick.
Chloe: Oh, my god! I am not sick! This was not my fault! I'm fine! We're both fine! Hey, doctor, guess what? We don't need you. Go home. Just go home. (walks off)
Faith (walks up): She's a piece of work, huh? She's lucky to have you. They both are.
Susan: Thank you for finding her.
      Faith: It's our job.

    • Bosco (to a prisoner): You're pissing me off. Walk faster or I'll put my foot up your ass.

    • Jimmy: Guess what we're doing tonight?
      Joey: What?
Jimmy: Look at that. We're cleaning this house, all right?
Joey: But Dad, why don't we just get a maid?
Jimmy: A maid? What? You think I got a million dollars?

    • Susan (about Bosco): He's wound a little tight.
Faith: Yeah, sometimes. I got two kids. One of them ever went missing, Bosco's the guy I'd want looking for them.
Susan: She is a good mother.
      Faith: Your sister?
Susan: She is. Drug addiction's a disease. It's recognized as a disease by the American Psychiatric Association.
Faith: What about Pedophilia? Isn't that recognized as a disease? You want a child molester raising a kid?
Susan; You can't equate pedophilia with drug addiction.
Faith: You know what, Dr. Lewis? I'm not really interested in why somebody hurts a kid. I don't care. All I wanna do is stop it from happening.
      Susan: Chloe didn't hurt Suzy.
      Faith: No, she lost her.

    • Walsh (to Jimmy): One thing hasn't changed. You still can't sing worth a damn.

    • Lt. Johnson: Who's on chow tonight?
Jimmy: Oh, I got it, boss.
      Lt. Johnson: You cooked yesterday.
Jimmy: I need the practice. Joey's getting a little tired of my specialties.
DK: How long's it take to get tired of toast?
Walsh: You just don't wanna do the dishes.
Jimmy: Well, I need practice at that, too. You should see the pile we got at the apartment. You ever tried to scrub old cheese out of a skillet? I got that special grease cutting detergent, they don't have anything for cutting day-old caked on cheddar, let me tell you. Same thing with laundry. I mean everything 'new and improved' but they don't tell me what I should buy if I want to get a little grape juice out of a school tie…(they are playing cards) Sorry, fellas, Gin. (everyone is staring at Jimmy) What?
      DK: You're scaring me, man.
      Lt. Johnson: Grease cutting detergent?

    • (when they are at the morgue to see if a body is Suzy)
Faith: You just take your time and you do this when you're ready.
Dr. Lewis: Would you ever be?
      Faith: No.

    • (Jimmy is tied to DK and they are lowering Jimmy off the roof)
DK: I don't know if I can hold you, Jimmy.
      Jimmy: I got faith, brother.

    • (Jimmy is tied to DK)
Jimmy: You guys aren't gonna let me fall, right?
DK: You go, I go, brother.

    • Susan (to Faith): I've been sitting here thinking uh… what else I've could've done. What else I should've done. I knew Chloe was struggling. I saw the signs before she and Joe moved to St. Louis. But I couldn't accept it. It was too damn hard to imagine going through all that again. So, I pretended that it wasn't there. Pretty pathetic, huh? She's my older sister, you know. She was so great to me growing up. She took me every where. She taught me how to ride a bike, how to hit a curveball. I adored her. She was the best. … What the hell happened to that sister? Who do I see about getting her back?

    • Bosco: There's gotta be a better way.
Faith: Sometimes all we got is our feet.

    • Faith (to Gerald, the kidnapper, after Bosco beats him up): You have the right to remain silent. And unless you want me to leave you alone in the car with my partner, I would suggest that you use it.

    • Proctor: I'll be right back with your Tetanus shot.
Bosco: Oh, come on Proctor, those are a killer.
Proctor: Hey, don't try to take away one of the only joys I have left in my job. Can I help you?
Susan: Uh, yeah I was looking for Officer Boscorelli.
Proctor: Don't let him run away. He's afraid of needles.
      Susan: You alright?
      Bosco: Ah, a couple stitches.
Susan: I just wanted to thank you. … You always take your job so personally?
      Bosco: I don't it personally.
Susan: You know, it's okay, I do, too.
Bosco: You know, sometimes, when it's kid, I… I just can't help it.
Proctor (walks back in with his shot): Okay, where's it gonna be, Bosco? Top or bottom?
Bosco: Hold on, do I really need this thing?
Susan: Yeah, you do. I'm a doctor, remember?
      Bosco: Dr. Lewis. You're welcome.
