    • QUOTES (14)

      • Davis: You guys didn't hear about Kim?
Faith: What do you mean? What about Kim?
        Davis: She overdosed.
        Bosco: No way.
        Faith: Kim was usin' heroin?
Sully: No, she did it on purpose. She tried to kill herself. Her son found her.
Faith: That poor little boy found her?
Davis: Yeah, she's gonna be okay, though.
Bosco: We should call the guy's at 55. She if there's anything that we can do for Kim.

      • Davis: Look, if you're a good business man, I'm sure you'll see the wisdom in calling anyone who hasn't done it yet, tell them you'll replace the bad stuff with double what they bought. You can step on it ten times buy then anyway, you'll still make a good profit.
Timothy: You know, for a cop, you got a good head for business.
Davis: You just make the calls, alright?

      • Davis (about all the dead junkies): You think that this was one of those Heaven's Gate cult things?
Sully: More like they were poisoned.
Bosco: These people were killin' themselves anyway. A buncha addicts, puts them outta their misery. makes the neighborhood a better place.
Faith: You think that their families would agree with that?
        Sully: Maybe they would.
Bosco (sees a necklace on a junkie as he's about to zip the body bag up): I thought you got all the property.
Faith: You know what? Sue me, Bosco.
Bosco: You're religious, huh? A lotta good that did you. (tries but can't get the necklace off, so Sully takes it off and hands it to Faith)
Faith: That's 18 carat gold. You don't see jewerly like that on a junkie, do 'ya?
Bosco: Good thing about junkies: they're featherweights. Skin and bones. Zip 'em up and move 'em out. (Bosco and Faith get a call, a guy is asking for them) That's just the guy I wanna talk to.
Sully: What are you talkin' about? Were you goin'?
        Davis: What about the bodies?
Bosco: Sully's in a volunteering mood.
        Sully: Bosco!
Faith: You know, it's just around the corner, we'll be right back.

      • Bosco: What are you running for?
        Darius: 'Cause you chasing me!

      • Sully: Are you talking about drugs?
Davis: I never did anything crazy. I tried a little of this, a little of that.
Sully: Just remind me never to introduce you to my kids.
Davis: What, you thinkin' about havin' kids?
Sully: No, I just meant kids in the abstract.
        Davis: Oh, you scared me.
Sully: What? You don't think I'd be a good father?
Davis: No, you're talkin' about havin' kids, you're movin' a little fast is all. Nah, you'd be good. You'd be a great father.
        Sully: I'd be old.
Davis: So, would the kids mean gettin' married?
Sully: Ah, it could, possibly... I mean, Tatiana would marry me.
        Davis: Really? Mmm.
Sully: What's it mean, 'really', huh?
Davis: It means... you think she wants to marry you? She ask you? Sully...? (Sully smiles at him) She did, she did. She did, didn't she?
Sully: Well, you know, we might as well be married, I stay over there all the time, we're practically living together as it is.
Davis: Mmhmm. And does being married mean she gets to stay in the U.S?
        Sully: It would help.
Davis: I knew it! I knew it, I knew, did I call it or what? I knew up to something, I told you. Did I not tell you that?
Sully: Thanks, partner, I really apperciate that.

      • Bosco: This is a bunch of crap. My informant gives up the China Red house and all we get to do it watch.
Faith: The guy was looking for Sully and you told him he wasn't working.
Bosco: I worked him for the information! It's the principle!
Faith: Look, if the city wanted people safe, they could've sent out plain clothes officers two days ago, they could've bought up all the China Red they could get their hands on.
Bosco: Uh uh. Not with my money. I ain't payin' for that.

      • Joey: Are you gonna get sick too?
Jimmy: No, baby, I'm not gonna get sick.

      • Davis (about Tatiana): You think you love her?
Sully: How can I love her if I'm not sure I trust her?
        Davis: You could find out.
        Sully: How?
Davis: You can help her get her green card, without getting married. Help find her a legitimate job, see if she sticks around. If she does then you know.
        Sully: And if she doesn't?
        Davis: Then you still know.

      • Faith (after they save a kid's life): You know, a kid lives to see how far they can go. We tell 'em not to do it, makes 'em wanna do it even more.
Bosco: We should tell 'em not to read.
Faith (laughs): You know, that boy was only a year older than Emily. I can't even believe that.
Bosco: We had a good day. Didn't we?
Faith: Yeah. We did have a good day.

      • Jimmy: I don't want Joey anywhere near her right now.
Catherine: If your gonna be angry, Jimmy, do your son a favor and don't let him see it.
Jimmy: How could she do this to him? He just lost Bobby, who was like a second father.
Catherine: He only needed a second father because you haven't been there.
Jimmy: What the hell do you know what I've been there for?
Catherine: Who baby sits? You were staying on her couch, and you never saw anything was wrong.
Jimmy: You see her everyday. Did you? You know, I wasn't supposed to have Joey until Saturday, but I'll trade a few day shifts and I'll pick him up at school tomorrow.
Catherine: No. You should keep to the regular schedule.
Jimmy: Yeah, well, I'll decide what he needs.
Catherine: You know, he doesn't need you riding in on your white horse to save him. He's not a fire. You want to be the hero, but as soon as the crisis is over, when things get boring, that's when you lose interest. It's easy being a hero, what's hard is the day to day. And you know what? That's most of his life. Look, if you want what's best for your son, just stick to Saturday. He'll be fine.

      • Jeneca: I just wanna make sure you're all okay, and if you're not, you can talk to me, or someone else.
Doc: We already talked about Bobby, okay? I don't need to talk about Kim. I'm glad that she's alright.
Taylor: You wanna give her a call at least?
Doc: I'll send a card or some flowers, if that's alright with you.
Carlos: Flowers seems a little easy. She needs support, not roses.
Doc: She told me she wanted to come back to work. I told her that she should take the time, clearly she needed it. (starts to walk off) I have work to do.
Jeneca: So you didn't want her around.
Doc: Is that what I just said? That's ridiculous.
Carlos: Doc, you told me the other day that all you could see is her covered in Bobby's blood.
Jeneca: So when Kim came to visit, she brought a ghost but she just wanted to be around other people.
        Jimmy: So it's everybody's fault but her's?
Jeneca: Look, I'm not here to place blame.
Jimmy: I know who to blame.

      • Taylor: How's Joey?
Jimmy: Kim thinks the world stops because she doesn't wanna be in it anymore. It' doesn't.
Taylor: Jimmy... You know Kim loves Joey. Imagine how much pain you'd have to be in to do something like that.
Jimmy: There's not enough pain in the world.

      • Catherine: Jimmy, what are you doin'?
Jimmy: Pickin' up my son and takin' him home.
Catherine: He's better off with me and you know that.
Jimmy: Catherine, when this all blows over and he wants to come stay a night or two, I'll let you know. Catherine, I apperciate you always being there for him. I know you love him. And I know I haven't always been the father that Joey needs. But I want to be and he is my son. He belongs with his father right now.

      • Swersky: According to Narcotics, 'China Red' is the label that they're looking for, they're trying to track down the supplier. But in the meantime, let's get the word out there to the junkies, and dealers to see if we can save some of these people.
Bosco: We're gonna warn the scum of the Earth off the best high they've ever had for what exactly?
Davis: To keep 'em from dyin', Bos.
Bosco: Aw, couldn't we maybe give it a week?
Faith (walking out of roll coll): Alright, come on Bosco, I'm tired of apologizing.
Bosco: One week, that's all I'm askin'. Maybe thin out the herd a little.
Davis: You know, people who OD aren't always street junkies.
Bosco: Yeah, but they all have one thing in common. I don't give a damn about any of them.
