Ellyn: Why can't anyone ever remember that my name has a "y?" Of course, a rose by any other name- but I don't get roses. I get tulips!
The episode won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Costuming for a Series.
The passage read by the minister during Ellyn and Billy's wedding ceremony is from Anne Morrow Lindbergh's inspirational book Gift from the Sea (1955). It reads: "The only real security is not in owning or possessing, not in demanding or expecting, not in hoping, even. Security in a relationship lies neither in looking back to what was in nostalgia, nor forward to what it might be in dread or anticipation, but living in the present relationship and accepting it as it is now."
