This is Dom Joly

Show Summary

This is Dom Joly is a BBC Three comedy, which presented a spoof chat show with the British comedian and TV journalist. The show follows a talk show format with both real and fake guests, and Joly mocking his own egotistical personality with his self-centered attitude throughout the proceedings. Joly first became famous as the host of hidden camera show "Trigger Happy" as well as his travel and sports columns for British papers. The show involved interviews, with the likes of author Germaine Greer, film director Guy Ritchie, royal correspondent Jennie Bond, Real Madrid striker Ronaldo and the inventor of the Rubik's cube. Musical guests perform live and come from a variety of styles, such as singer Marianne Faithfull, rock band The Cure and Gary Numan. Other featured skits are "video diaries" and a game where people had to describe their work "in a nutshell," as in under a minute. The show aired from February to July 2003 on the BBC Three channel in Britain.
