  • Childish but humourous

It is a windy day on Sodor, but a flower show is being held at Maithwaite and Percy is asked to collect a special load. At Brendam Docks, he finds it is a carpet! But his mood changes when Salty tells him it could be magic, and gives him some magic words. Later, Percy tells Gorodn it could be magic but the big engine scoffs. Suddenly, the carpet flies away and lands on Murdoch's trucks. Percy follows but the carpet then flies onto Toby. Eventually Toby stops at a station and the carpet lands on the tracks! Percy, Toby and Gordon fail to warn Thomas so Percy uses the magic word please and it flies up! Even at the flower show, they still think it's magic.

Many of you may find that this episode is childish or pathetic. Well, I do think that as well. But, there are many good aspects as well. For instance, this episode had a lot of humour in it. The expression on Gordon's face when it moved at please was priceless, and the chase scenes cracked me up (though it would have been a bigger hoot if Thomas had run over the carpet, but that would have spoiled the "valuable" life lesson). I was pleased Murdoch and Toby got shown, even if there wasn't much speech. And Percy's personality was perfect with the whole gulible thing. And Salty and Gordon played their personalities right as well. But I think that there could have been a different engine to appear and nearly run over the carpet, but HIT is just giving Thomas more appearances. And I found that the whole thing was rather stupid with the "please is a magic word" thing. I don't think Harry Potter killed Voldemort by saying please (but the whole love thing was just as stupid). The direction was quite good and they did the windy thing well, even The Fat Controller's hat was good. And the scenery at Maithwaite was very nice. So overall, it is actually quite hard to decide wheter to love or to hate this episode.moreless

In this episode, Percy has to take a red carpet to Maithwaite station for Alicia Botti. Salty tells him that it is a magic carpet but Gordon says that it's just nonsense. But when the carpet starts to fly around the island, just who will get the last laugh?

    Final word: Clever.

Percy is snet to collect a carpet on a windy day. When he goes to collect it, Salty says that it might be a magic carpet. Percy puffs foreward and the carpet unfolds all by itself. Then, it starts blowing onto other trains. Finally, Percy catches up to Toby. Then, the carpet lands on the tracks. Thomas is on the same line and was about to run over the carpet. Percy says some magic words to make it fly, but none of them worked. When he said please, the carpet lifetd up and blew right back to the car. Percy then delivers the carpet.moreless
